His now pirecing golden eyes scanned the house with a new sight. Of course, the others were outraged when he left. But what could they do to stop him with out exposing their secret?
Devon knocked on Akito's door as he had done before and waited for him to answer.

Akito didn't come to answer. His bedroom door was shut and he was in bed. A maid walking by asked Devon what he needed and then let Devon get in.

Akito lay in her bed asleep, completely unaware that Devon was in the room. "No, Father..." She was whispering just loud enough for Devon to hear. "You can't die. You can't leave me. Live for your special girl. Live for me. Don't leave me with that woman. She hates me. To her I'm not her daughter! I'm her idiot son! Don't you understand that? You can't leave... You must stay... you must..."

Devon watched with intrest. Humans...sleeping. It was odd.
Then her heard her talking and became more attentive. He was as still as a statue, waiting...watching...

"...FATHER!" She almost screamed it. Then she sat bolt upright, eyes wide. She had not yet noticed Devon in the room.
((Wouldn't it be funny if Devon talked and Aki got startled and sorta jumped? LOL))

For the first time, Akito couldn't find the words to say. Do I say yes or no? He just heard me say it himself, so he wouldn't believe me if I said no.

Finally Akito decided. "Come with me." Akito stood up and walked toward the door. The bottom of her robe trailed behind her. They went down the hall until Akito stopped at a door and pounded on the door. Hatori! Hatori!
Hatori came out. "Yes, Akito? What is it?"
"Erase his memory. Now!" She hissed in Hatori's ear.
"I'm sorry, Akito, but I won't. I refuse."
"HATORI!"
Hatori shut the door gently and Akito just stared at it in disbelief.

Devon raised his eyebrow again.
"Do you think it is possible to erase my memories. I am an unhuman creature after all." He chuckled darkly. He had heard the words she had said, so he decided to drop a hint of what he really was.
