Akito led Devon out. Akito walked through the shade with Devon and sat on a rock in the sun, outside of the shadow, leaving the shadowed one for Devon.
Then she whistled and a little white bird fluttered down and landed on her finger.

While they made they're way to the shade, Devon stepped into one lit area and his entire body glittered like a star that had fallen out of the heavens. He quickly walked back into the shadows to keep from being noticed.
He took a seat next to Akito and watched her call the birds.
