"Devon..." Akito began. "When you first visited me, your eyes were red. Now they are gold. Why is that?" She asked.

Devon looked away for a brief moment.
"When I first visited you, I was there to hunt. I was preying on you. The Volturi had pressured me to hunt humans. They said I was going to get weak from thirst. But I couldn't bring myself to harm you on that day. You looked so helpless and weak compared to me. After I left your house, I was walking in the woods were I met another Vampire. A Cullen to be exact. They are Vampires that surivive on Animal blood instead of human blood. Since they feed on Animal blood, it makes their eyes gold." He paused for a moment before continuing. "The other Volturi kept the exisitance of this family because they knew I would join them. They were right I did." He summed it all up, "All of the Volturi have red eyes because they feed on Human blood. When I left them and fed on the blood of animals, my eyes turned gold." he finsihed explaining.
