((I have a bit of idea, but since Devon likes being mean to Shigure, he should say something like 'you're one of the worst men around...' or something slightly rude that has to do with Shii-chan's favorite saying. XD *pokes cbox* I can't follow through with my idea unless you do... lol))

Shigure just chuckled a bit darkly.
"I know. I have no strength. I'm of no caliber, worthless. I'm the worst there is," He said, then chuckled again, much lighter this time.
"And he finds that this is not bad in the least..." Akito said with a roll of her eyes.
Randomly, Shigure started humming a song. Akito recognized it instantly. It was an old childhood lullabye of hers that both Shigure and Kureno would sing to her.
"Why the he** are you humming Hotaru Koi?" She asked.
"Eh, I like the tune," He laughed.
((Devon should be like... What's Hotaru Koi? lol btw- Hotaru=firefly. I'm not exactly sure what the Koi part is for... lol))

((I know... but in the english version it never says Koi once. lol Oh, but I just realized what the title is in Japanese! Ho, Firefly. XD))
"A Japanese song that's fit to be a lullabye," Akito explained. "In English it's called Ho, Firefly. It's a pretty song."
"Sing!" Shigure said suddenly.
"What? No..." Akito said.
((For once Dev-kun should agree with Gure. XD))

Devon didn't know what he was about to say. He just smiled and said, "Sing." He said to her, a soft smile on his face.

Akito's cheeks burned. "Seriously?"
"Of course, Akki-san!" Shigure said, chuckling.
Akito continued to blush. First she just said the english version, did not sing. "Ho, firefly, come, there's some water that's bitter to taste, come, here's some water that's sweet to your taste; ho, firefly, ho, up this mountain path. Firefly's daddy struck it rich, so he's got lots of dough, no wonder that his rear end sparkles in the dark. Ho, firefly, up this mountain path. In the daytime hiding 'mongst the dewy blades of grass, but when it's night, his lanter burns bright. E'en though we've flown all the way from India, zoom! and those sparrows swarm to swallow us. Then she sang the actual song, in Japanese.

Akito hid her face with her hands, embarrassed by Devon's praise.
Shigure chuckled. "She's a good singer, isn't she? You know, I've never seen her so self conscious in my life!" He hooted.

Akito was turning a deeper shade of red by the second.
"Gah, you two... you're making me blush!" She said. She hated how girlish she could get around these two, sometimes.
"Oh, no really?" Shigure asked with a chuckle. "I didn't know that!" He said sarcastically.
Akito turned from them so her legs were dangling outside the window again.
Shigure checked his watch. "We still have a while yet before the sun rises. Akki, you hungry yet?"
"Yeah. But I think I'll get it myself. I need to check on the rest of the Juunishi, make sure nobody uninvited is there..." Akito said, getting off the window sill and standing up.
((I'm planning for Aki to see Ren talking to Hatori, so she immediately gets overprotective. LOL))

"Do you want me to come with you/" He asked, her, brushing her blonde, almost white, hair out of his eyes.

Devon followed Akito. A few minutes alone in a room with that dog was too long, especialy after he already lost control once today.

Akito smiled at him. They walked out of the room. She stopped smiling then. They walked to a larg room where the people of the juunishi were. There was a big table of food against one wall. But then someone else caught her eye. Long black hair. Not Isuzu. Isuzu was sitting on the ground, yelling at Haru.
A woman with long black hair, talking to Hatori. They were in a part of the gigantic room where nobody else was gathered. Akito walked over. Devon could follow her if he wished, but she didn't care. She was just mad that Ren had the nerve to come down and intrude on the gathering of the juunishi. She threw herself between the two. Hatori jumped, surprised. Ren scoffed.
"Get away from him," Akito snarled.
"She was only saying hello, Akito-san," Hatori promised.
"Yes, I was only saying hello to Hatori," Ren said. Then she looked away from Akito and up at Hatori.
"Oh, you poor thing," She traced her fingers around Hatori's blinded left eye.
Akito swatted Ren's hand away from Hatori.
"He is NOT a 'poor thing'," She growled.

A few of the people in the Zodiac had noticed as well, but went back to the activities, not wanting to get involved with whatever Akito was doing.
"I'll. Kill. You..." Akito said quietly, angrily at Ren.
Ren leaned over and whispered something so quiet that not even Devon could have heard, because of all the loud noise the rest of the Sohma family was making. Whatever Ren had said had been enough to make Akito furious.
Some maids walked over, because it looked like Akito and Ren were both about to kill eachother.
Akito lunged at Ren at the same moment that Hatori wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back, away from Ren.
"Take Ren-san back to her room," Hatori said to the maids. They nodded and gently led her back to her own room.
Hatori let go of Akito when Ren was out of sight. She immediately went back to Devon. As soon at the Sohma family wasn't paying attention, she looked about ready to cry...

"Do you want to go back to your room...?" He asked, his golden eyes looked at Akito with pity.
