"Okay. But the thing is, there's a special three days after the banquet, where we continue to celebrate. But please, try to come see me later tonight. Or... early this morning, rather," Akito said with a quiet chuckle. She let go of Devon, realizing she still had his hand.

Akito sat at the head of the table, like he did every year. Kureno took his seat on the right side of the table, very close to Akito. Shigure took the seat on her other side, though he wasn't supposed to. "Why the he** are you sitting here?" She hissed, so only he could hear her.

He laughed darkly again, as i fnot scared by the threat at all. He then went to go sit by the dogs.

Akito glared at Shigure. But then some quiet music began to play. Akito turned to watch as people cursed with the Rat and people cursed with the Ox danced together.
Momiji pulled out his video camera that his father had given him. He always recorded the banquet dance.

Mazuki then decided to leave. She didn't want to hear Akito and those weirdos ruin the New Years celebration. She quickly left the garden and went to sit in her room. She left the door open, as no one was coming, the pulled out a sketch book and drew a picture of a tiger.

Akito sat in her room. It was noisy in the main house. Almost everybody was staying up. It was a tradition for very many people to stay up all night and watch the sun rise on the very first morning of the year.
She glanced at the clock. A little after midnight. She hoped Devon would come soon. Not that she'd have a problem staying awake, with all the noise in the house. She just wanted him near.

Devon knocked on the door once,a small smile on his face. He opened the door, hoping Akito wouldn't mind.

Akito smiled when Devon walked in.
"Good, you're here! I thought I was going to have to watch the sun rise all by myself," She said, laughing quietly.
She was sitting on the sill of the open window, perfectly ballanced. Surprisingly, the air was rather warm, or more accurately said, not cold enough to make Akito sick.
