Yuki was trying to think of excuses that could allow him to skip. If there were going to be a lot of slow dances, with couples holding eachother, embracing eachother, he wouldn't be able to stand it.

Alice smiled. She could see the decisions Yuki was making. "Sorry, Yuki. I was only kidding about the slow dance thing. There'll be a few, but every party has to have some. But I'll play loads of fast songs, promise," She said.
"Thanks, Alice," Yuki said.

Bella sat down in the seat Yuki's mother had been sitting in.
"Why'd Yuki's mom come for dinner?" She asked.
"She was insulting Ember, saying that she was a bad influence and stuff, so we invited her to dinner," Yuki said.

Edward laughed. "People are different, those mongrels, on the other hand...." Some of the vampires laughed.
