Devon walked reluctantly down the stairs. He glaced at Isami once, grunted out a 'hello'. The continued to be dragged by Alice.

"Sorry about my uncle. He's in a bad mood today," Alice laughed.
"C'mon, Devon, cheer up. You don't have to see your lover every day! I'm sure she understand!"
Isami blinked. Alice seemed like a bit of an odd girl, but a good one nonetheless.
"Hello, Devon," Isami said, politely. Anyone could tell she was the vain type, cared mostly about herself. (I'm not bashing her. Says so in the 'Fruits Basket Fanbook'. XD)

Alice, of course, heard it. Devon was talking about her. She kicked him so quickly, Isami wouldn't see it happen.
