Yuki nodded to the doctor once more before he was completely out, and then headed toward the stairs, heading out. When he exited, he headed back home. Hey, there was Ember.

Ember had felt Yuki's precense in the house. The sweet scent of strawberries drifted over to her as the boy stood behind her. She didn't turn around to face him, but she greeted him.
"Hello, Yuki. Did you come to see the baby?" She asked, not facing him. She talked causually to him. As if Yuki was someone she knew, but they weren't really friends.

Yuki knew that Ember wasn't trying to be cruel, or rude in any way, but the way she spoke, the way she acted as if they weren't close, did hurt.
"I... got to see Lee-san, the baby, but I'm heading home now. Do you... want to talk for a while, Em-chan?"
Yuki finally understood how Hatsuharu must feel. He was also positive Rin had broken up with his friend because she was trying to protect him from something.

Ember winced at the nickname. It made her want to open up to him again, and she didn't want to hurt him.
"Please... don't cal me that." She said a bit meekly. She still didn't look at him. "I guess you can stay and talk, of you want. But not for long." She added the last part quickly.

"Gomen nasai, Ember-san," Yuki replied, voice a bit harder. But not in that cold way. More like the sheilding way, he didn't want to be hurt and he didn't want to hurt her. He walked to her side, so she'd have to look at him sometimes.
"Ah... how are you?" He asked, almost timidly.

Ember glanced over at him, her eyes were completely gold now. She looked forward again, though.
"Fine. You?" She asked the boy, trying to look like she was interested in a strand of her ruby colored hair.

"If what?" Ember asked, the red head turning to face him for the first time in the conversationed. Her skin caught the light of the afternoon sun, which caused her to glitter brightly. Her skin now looked like pale opals, glittering in such a way that would dazzle most people. Her eye that was exposed to the sunlight grew brighter and it also sparkled like the half of her body that was being hit by the beams of light. Her red hair also shinned like dark garnets or rubies, a few strands of her long hair catching the breeze and swaying.

Yuki, who usually wasn't that interested in the looks of that of the opposite sex, was indeed dazzled. Ember really was breathtaking. He wanted to tell her just how beautiful she was right now. He loved her so much, he wanted to resort to begging to get her back. Not like he would. He wasn't going to make her feel guilty.
"It won't change anything at all if I say it," Yuki replied after an extended pause. Now it was his turn to look away from her, a bit sullenly, still embarrassed, as well.

Ember raised a pencil thin eyebrow.
"How do you know?" She asked the boy, hoping once onto the railing of the porch, the short girl now swinging her feet slowly. Her back was now to the sun, so she now longer glittered, but she was still beautiful even without the light.

Yuki hopped on with her, and looked at her again. She really was quite beautiful. Even without the light. Well, of course. The light merely made her sparkle like a diamond. Sometimes, when the sun was especially bright, you couldn't see a lot of her features, past the sparkles. He couldn't help but breathe, "Beautiful..." He looked down again, hoping she hadn't heard what he'd said... though, she probably had.
"Fine. I... I was gonna say that everything would be a bit better for me if we... if we... were back together..."

Ember turned away from him, and she would probably would have ben blushing if she could. She tried to pretend she hadn't heard him say beautiful.
"You know I can't do that, Yuki... I'll hurt you." She told him softly, still loking away from him.

"But maybe you won't, Ember," Yuki said, looking at her now. "I don't mind taking that chance. Besides, it would really help if I had someone to lean on, with everything going on now. Eh... no... that sounded selfish, never mind..." He bit his lip.

"I know that you can hurt me, Ember. I'm well aware of that. But, just in case you're expecting me to move on, it's not likely. Especially not now that everyone knows the secret." Yuki's tone was fierce. Not the angry fierce. More like when someone's trying to get a point across anad they need the person that's receiving it to listen.
