Ember sat on the porch of the Sohma's residence. She was sitting cross legged, looking up at the sky as it slowly turned into night. It had been pretty warm that day, but now it was cold. She was glad that she had brought her coat with her.
The first few stars appeared in the orange and purple sky. The moon was steadily rising, and the sun, glowing hot red, was steadily sinking. Long, dark shadows cast themselves across the yard, making it appear even darker then it really was.
A small breeze blew, bringing the sweet scent of witch hazel with it. There was a small creek on the Sohma property that Ember had discovered almost the first day she had come to Japan. The witch hazel grew thickly in that area. Now that it was nearing spring, the pink and orange flowers and begun to bloom, and everytime you stepped outside, you could smell them. It was a nice fragrance.
It was almost completely dark now. Ember was still sitting on Yuki's porch, alone. She would be a vampire any day now. She wanted to spend every waking moment experienceing new things. Today, she had decided that she wanted to watch the sunset through her human eyes. It may sound a bit weird, or corny, but she had always wondered what it would be like to see the sunset as a human. She now saw that I was softer, the colors not as sharp in detail. They just seemed to blend together.
So she sat outside, in the dark now. Not wanting to move. She wondered breifly if Yuki might come out, so she could talk with him. Even though it was almost bitter cold, she didn't want to go inside. She wanted to stay outside...
((I know, random. I had a sudden urge to make a thread with human Ember XD))

Yuki stepped outside, a cup of steaming tea in his hand. He hadn't known Ember was on the porch, and nearly stepped on her hand. Luckily he noticed and jumped back out of surprise. Then he stepped over her hand and took a seat next to her. "Hello. You should have let me know you were out here," he said. "Here, you want some? It's Oolong tea. There's a lot of sugar, too," he offered her the cup. He hadn't taken a single sip from it yet. But Ember had been out longer, and was probably colder.

((XD Witch hazel's are my favorite flowers, and I really like dusk, so that's prolly why XD))
She looked over at Yuki, a little startled when he had come out. She smiled over at him.
"Sure... thanks." She said, taking the warm cup of tea into her hands, feeling the heat warm up her hands. She could smeel the france the tea.. sweet and bitter at the same time. She took a sip, then looked over at him.
"It tastes good." She commented. She had decided what she liked and disliked. She liked ice cream, rice balls, stir fry, almost every fruit, and fried chicken. She disliked oinions, leeks, lemons, and grape soda.

Yuki grinned. "Honda-san made it. There's a whole kettle inside, so if you want more later you can have some. Are you planning on staying the night in her room again?" He asked, tilting his head back all the way so he could see only the sky, and out of the corner of his eye, Ember's beautiful vibrant red hair.

She nodded.
"Yeah... if that's alright with you guys, of course. I mean, I just keep on coming here unexpectedly and I don't want you to think I'm intruding." She quit talking and took another sip of her tea when she noticed that she was rambling on. He hid her face embarrasedly, her cheeks glowing a soft pink. She was greatful for the darkness, so Yuki could see her blush.
"Sorry for rambling..." She murmured softly.

"No problem," Yuki replied calmly, a feathery-soft smile touching his lips, still looking up at the sky.
"I think it's cute," he added.

She felt her cheeks turn darker, but she now grinned.
"Really?" She asked, taking another small smip of her tea, feeling the hot liquid warm her up.

Yuki's smile broadened a bit. "Which is why it's cute. Oh well. It's getting darker. I can't wait for spring," he said.

She turned to look at him, even though she could barely see him.
"I can't wait either... should we go back inside? It's prety cold..." She suggested.

"Sure, if you want to," Yuki replied with a shrug. "I don't mind the cold too much. But if you're too cold we can go in." He gave her a peck on the cheek.

"Oh... I'm not really all that cold.. it's just that you said it was getting dark out...." Ember trailed off akwardly. "I kinda want to stay out." She said a bit sheepishly, she looked back up at the sky. Winter was the best time to look at the night sky. It was so clear and bright.

Yuki laughed. "Okay then." He put his arm around her shoulders carefully, so as not to end up accidentally embracing her and turning into a rat. She seemed so tiny!

Ember smiled up at Yuki, then continued to look up at the sky.

((I should bring a transformed Ayame in to ruin the moment. Snake-Aya could crawl up her shirt, seeking for 'warmth'. XDDDD He's such a perv!))

She continued to look up, Yuki's arm around her shoulders. She was looking for a shootingstar, but she doubted that she would find one.

Despite Ember's doubts, Yuki pointed up at the sky as a streak through the darkening night appeared. "Look!" He said. "Make a wish!"
Meanwhile, an unnoticeable white snake was slithering around the house, cold. Ayame sensed the warmth coming off of Ember (supposedly) and slithered up her back.

Ember squuezed ehr eyes tight and made a wish. Seconds later she yelped loudly.
"What is that!?" She shouted, taking off her jacket incase that is what it had slithered up. No such luck.
No, her wish was not that a snake slithered up her shirt.

Yuki jumped up in surprise.
"I'm sorry," cooed an all too familiar voice. The snake slithered out of Ember's shirt.
Yuki, fuming, picked Ayame up by the neck.
"Ah, Yuki-kun, calm down," the snake said, nervousness apparent in his voice.
"No! This is the second time you've done something like this, Ayame! I'm gonna skin you!"
