Kira bit her lip and her eyes flickered back to the picture for a spilt second.
"They're...dead." She said softly. Her eyes wondered back to the picture, she wanted to cry right now, she hardly ever talked about her husband and her sons. She hadn't told anyone about them only that they were dead. She was afraid that she'd break down and cry.
Her eyes began to tear up, but she blinked them away quickly, she had alwas been good at that.

"I'm sorry," Hatori said sadly to Kira. "I kind of know what it's like, to have to lose the one I love. Not the same way you do, though. And to lose your children, I can't even imagine what that would be like."

"Who was she?" She asked softly, as if courious, but not wanting to pry. Her jewel-toned eyes looked at Hatori softly, and her long eye-lashes casted small shadows on her cheeks.

"Her name was Kana," Hatori said. "You kind of remind me of her.... personality-wise," He told her, smiling only slightly.

Hatori nodded. "Lee was a good kid," He said. "I'm only calling him a kid because I only knew him as a kid," He chuckled a bit.

Hatori smiled a bit. "Exactly. The first time I was asked that, by Kana, I said water. I thought it was some kind of trick question," He chuckled. "But she said I was wrong. It became spring. Spring is her favorite season. It was mine too, ever since I met her," He said to Kira.

"If you don't mind, may I ask you a question?" She asked. She paused for a moment, to look for any hint that Hatori wouldn't want her to ask her a question. She continued.
"Why, do you cover you eye up?" She asked.

"Practically the same question your daughter asked..." Hatori said with a smirk. He wiped the hair out of his face. His left eye now showed. It looked unfocused, there were scars around it. "It's because I'm practically blind in my left eye."

Kira was now deeply concerned for Hatori. Also like Shade, she slowly reach up with her hand and gently touched the scars around his eye. She pulled away quickly, her cheeks flamed pink, now.

Hatori smiled a bit. "It happened a few years ago. Kana... she thought it was her fault. She thought she could have protected me from what happened," He sighed.

"What happened?" Kira asked, her voice lowered a bit. She then looked ashamed for asking. "You don't have to tell me, if you don't want to." She said.

"I got a vase thrown at me..." Hatori murmered. He wouldn't say who, though. "It hit my eye. Kana was heartbroken. It was hard for her to take care of it, so it was mainlyl me who took care of it."

"Is that when, you.....lost her?" Kira said, meaning lost as in, Hatori and kana were no longer together. Earlier, Hatori had said he had lost Kana, so that is why she was using that word.
