Kira blinked tears away, she stepped back, giving Tadao and Shade some space, so he could talk to her. She waslk slowly over to Hatori. "So I'm guesing t-that you found out..." She said softly to him, so that Tadao could speak quietly to Shade. "I-i'm sorry that I didn't tell you." She whispered.
Shade felt Tadao's there, she heard him talking to her. She could hear his breathing,t he sound of his voice, she could smell his cologne.
Though she didn't say anything, because she couldn't. She couldn't find the strength to say anything.

Hatori nodded. "Yes. I... was caught off guard. Very surprising..." he murmered.
Tadao continued to whisper to Shade. "I love you," he told her. "More than anything. Hold on for me, okay? Just hold on." Somehow he knew she could hear him, and he went with that gut feeling. He trusted it. It was enough for him. If she could hear him, she'd hold on. She had to hold on.
What would he do if she wasn't in his life? He didn't know. Have Hatori erase the memory of ever having met this wonderful, beautiful girl? Possibly.
He couldn't think that right now, though. She would make it.

Tadao...
She heard him speaking to her. She wanted to respond.
I love you too. I will hold on. I promise.
Kira nodded. "I-I only recently found out." She said softly to Hatori. She swalloed, trying to get rid of her tears. It was difficult, though.She looked down at away, squeezing her eyes shut to get rid of the tears that were threatening to over flow. She couldn't cry. She had to be strong. She had to be strong.

"Kira, quit holding it in. You can cry," Hatori told her. He pulled her close, but kept his hands on her sides, so it wasn't an embrace. "Cry, I don't mind. It doesn't feel good to hold it in. Let it all out," he murmered to her.
Tadao couldn't help being a bit irritated. Hatori should be helping Shade too. Instead he was having some loving conversation with Kira that he couldn't hear. Was he worried about Shade at all? He reached out and squeezed Shade's hand gently.

Kira buried her head into Hatori's chest, cling onto his shirt, her shoulders shook in a silent sob. She cried, holding onto Hatori, as her shoulders shook slightly. Her baby girl was on the brink of death, what else was she supposed to do.
"My baby..." She said softly to herself. "My baby girl..." She wanted to stop crying. Crying was a sign of weakness. But everytime that she would try to hold it in, she would just continue to cry. She didn't want to lose a another child. Haru was dead. Ryuu had disspeared off the face of the planet. As far as she was concerned, Lee was dead to her. She couldn't lose Shade. She didn't know what she would do.

Hatori ran his fingers through her hair over and over again. He wanted to say 'It'll be all right,' but, what if it wasn't?

Kira glanced over at her hurt daughter. "S-she'll be okay, right? Tell me that she'll be okay." She pleaded. She wanted her daughter to be fine. she wanted her daughter to live.

"She'll be okay," Hatori replied.
He was surprised that his voice sounded so convincing. He felt so guilty to lying to Kira right now. But what she needed was reassurance, not worry. She couldn't stress herself too much. She was weak right now, he knew that.

Kira nodded. All she needed was Hatori's reassurance. "OKay. I believe you." She said to Hatori. Her eyes were red, and her eyelids lsightly puffy from crying, She still held onto Hatori's shirt, leaning against his strong chest and shoulders. She felt safe with him. She felt like Hatori could protect her. When facing the wrold, she looked strong. But when she was with Hatori, she put down her defenses and became the scared, weak young woman that she really was sometimes. Hatori obviously didn't mind. Hatori was the only one she trusted to see her like this.
She gazed back down at her daughter, who was in a rough shape.
A nurse slowly looked in. "I'm sorry, but I must ask you to leave. We have to prep her for her surgery tomorrow...." She said softly to them.

Hatori nodded. "Very well," he said. He took Kira's hand and squeezed it.
"I'm not leaving," Tadao said. "You go on with the surgery, I'm staying in here," he told the nurse stubbornly.

The nurse sighed, obviously used to this behavior.
"I think that it would be best if you left. We will inform as soon as the the surgery is over of her condition." She told Tadao gently.
Kira swallowed. She didn't want to leave, but did what to nurse told her to do.

Hatori walked her out, his hand now wrapped carefully around her waist, stopping at her side. Couldn't embrace her...
"Everything will be okay," he assured her.
Again, he felt guilty. He could hear Tadao still arguing as he left the room with Kira.
"No. I'm staying. I'm not leaving her side," Tadao said, keeping his voice quiet, but determined.

Kira nodded again. She didn't know what to say. She was very scared right now, and did not know what to do. She felt useless just sitting here and waiting.
The nurse paused. "Please, I must ask you to leave." She said to the stubborn boy.

Couldn't disturb Shade.

The nurse sighed again. "You would just get in the way." She said to Tadao.

Kira closed her eyes, trying to remain calm so she didn't get a head ache. "This isn't your fault, Hatori." She reminded him softly.

"I could have had somebody else pick her up," Hatori told her. "I knew I was exausted. I'm lucky I didn't fall asleep at the wheel."

"Excuse me, but I'm training to be a doctor. Okay, so I have no idea how to conduct this type of surgery right now, but I could just stand back, by the door or something," Tadao continued to argue with the nurse.
((If Tadao wins the argument, he could stand in there, and the doctors could say that Shade's stopped breathing, so Tadao pushes them all out of the way, does the only thing he can think of, which is mouth-to-mouth, and gets her breathing and saves her for the time-being. Just a fun little idea.))

The nurse sighed. "Fine, you can stay." She agreed. "The surgery is tomorrow morning at six." She explained, before going over to Shade and unhooking some of the drugs, and putting new ones back it. She also checked Shade's vitals, making sure that everything was going smoothly.
She then unwrapped the banadge on her waist, to show a nasty-looking wound that was very deep. It was dark red and pink around the edges. That was going to scar...

Tadao winced a bit at the sight. But he swore to himself that he'd stay. He was thankful he didn't have a weak stomach. "Thanks," he murmered to the nurse, leaning against the wall nearest Shade. If she woke up, he would be there for her.

The nursed nodded once, replacing the bandage, along with the once on her face. Were she had been sliced from the eyerbrow down, the bandage covered her eye completely. It was lucky that he eye wasn't damaged.
The nurse finally left. It was now three in the morning, and she was probably heading home. Only three more hours untill the sugery. The doctors were probably getting ready.

Tadao went over and leaned down beside Shade's bed. He took one of her hands very gently.
