Shade watched. She really didn't know what to do. She had seen a couple of fights break out amongst the older kids. Maybe the two kids were just trying to mimic the teens.

"Okay, 'Hoshi,' let's pick out the color you want," Miki said happily. They were in a beauty store, in the hair dye section.

Shade glanced around, hopping not to run into Tohru. That would be a big mess. She kept her head low, and followed Miki. She had never been here, so she had no idea where to go.
((It would be funny if she saw Tohru, and Tohru just got a glance of her XD))

Miki smiled. "Okay, here are shades of light brown you might like," She said.
There was a shelf with lots of nail polish near the hair dye. Saki (Hana-chan as Tohru calls her) and Tohru were looking at the nail polish. Saki sensed some waves that she recognized vaguely. The girl who was being beaten by the gang? She looked up and did indeed see the girl.
"Do you know her, 'Hoshi'?" Miki asked Shade, looking over at the girl who was looking at Shade.

"Uh, no." She lied.
"Come on, let's hurry up, I don't want to run into anyone unpleast while I'm here." She said, making it sound like it could be her uncle coming here to look for her.
She turned her back away from Saki and Tohru to look at the dyes.
She picked out one that she liked, and it was only a few shades lighter then Miki's.
"Do you like this?" She asked quietly.

"Yes, it's pretty!" Miki said. "It should look natural enough on you, too! Come on, let's go so we can color your hair," She added.
"Tohru-chan... I think I saw the girl that was being attacked by the gang," Saki said, her voice rather monotonous, as always.

Tohru looked up quickly.
"Shade?" she asked. "She's been missing! Where did you see her?" Asked Tohru, frantic. She cared deeply for the girl because ohru had first tried to befriend her when she was lonely, and she was friends with Hatori and Kyo. Shade seemed sweet, once you got to know her.
Tohru quickly glanced around. She saw a black haired girl going to the check out. She briefly wondered what she should do. Should she chase after her, or would that make Shade upset? Or maybe she should just let her leave. But that might make Kyo and Hatori upset....

Saki smiled softly. "Calm down, Tohru-chan. Leave her alone for now. She probably wants that. Let's get back to choosing nail polish," She said reassuringly. "How about this shimmery pink for you? It would look nice."

Miki nodded. After they left, she looked over at Shade. "So, why didn't you do anything? Were they friends of your uncle's or something?"

"No." She sighed.
"I guess I was too scared to face them. Tohru-the brown haired one-has alway been kind to me, and I never repaided her. So I feel bad for running off." She said.

Miki and Shade were in the bathroom that was connected to their bedroom. "Okay... so we just need to follow the instructions and then your hair will be light brown..." She said, studying the instructions.
