Shade sat on her bed, fiddling with her cell phone. She still hadn't put the memory card back in. She didn't want Hatori or Kyo to call.
Or Tadao.
She even blushed thinking about him. She wondereed what he was thinking about at this moment. She was wondering if he thought she stood him up. Which she actually did. But she had a good reason. She couldn't hurt her mother anymore.
Shade knew she had a roomate, but she didn't know very much about her. Besides she was a girl. That was just about it.
While she was thinking about her room mate, the door creaked open. Someone really needed to oil those doors. They were beginging to grate on her nerves.
Shade, who had been leaning against the window cill, looked up from her cell phone into her roomate's eyes.

"Hi," Miki said quietly, smiling a bit. Her brown hair complimented her tan skin. "Ehh... I brought you some soup. And some oil for the doors. I noticed that it was getting on your nerves. You practically jumped a foot when you heard the creak. Bothers me too..." The twelve year old babbled slightly.

'Hoshi' smiled at the younger girl.
"Thanks." She said, stuffing her cellphone in her back pocket. She walked over to Miki and helped her carry the soup and oil.

Miki grinned. "No prob. It didn't cost much. When you came here you were a little hurt. You still are. Will you tell me about what happened? I mean, it's okay if you don't want to. I don't want to pry. I'm just curious," She said, babbling again, blushing in embarrassment. She chastised herself inwardly. She couldn't just ask questions like that out of the blue.

She grimaced.
"I got hit by a car." She said, meaning her hurt arm and ribs.
She picked up the oil off of the endtable she placed it on and quickly oiled the hinges in the door. After she was done, she open and shut it a few times to make sure she hadn't missed a spot. She smiled to herself, satified with her work. The door nolonger squeaked.
"What's your name?" She asked, sitting down on a chair and eating her soup.

Miki smiled. "I'm Miki. And you're Hoshi, right? One of the guys here likes you," She giggled. "He's cool. You two might be good friends..." She joked. She was only half joking though. The two might actually get along as friends okay...

She blushed.
"Yeah, I'm Hoshi." She said, all of a sudden shy.
"I already have someone...special, I guess you could say." She said. At least, she thought of him as 'Special', she wasn't too sure about him.
"A kinda feel bad, dissapearing on him like that." She said.
What Am I doing? I'm telling everything I know to a twelve year old girl I hardly know! She said to herself, but didn't really care.
She looked up and sighed happily. There was a grin on her face.
You could so tell she was thinking about a guy.

"Ooh! What's his name?" Miki asked eagerly. Like any twelve year old girl who wanted to have a crush on somebody for the first time, she wanted to know about her somewhat freind's crush, or more than that.

"Tadao. Tadao Sohma." She said, turning back to Miki. She began to tell her everything about Tadao. "He has dark hair, and blue eyes. He's pretty tall, too. He's eighteen years old and studdying to become a doctor." She said.

"Ooh, he's a Sohma! A Sohma goes to my school. His name's Hiro. He's kinda cute, but he's a bit of a jerk..." Miki said. "But the Kisa Sohma girl, that hangs out with him and is always teased 'cause of her hair and eyes is super nice... All the Sohmas are really good looking," She said. Anyone could tell that Miki was one of those half girly-half tomboy types... just going a little more girly at the moment because of how excited she was to have met somebody new.

"Yeah. I'm friends with some of the Sohma's." She said.
"Tadao's older brother has been kinda like a father to me." She said, brushing some of her jet black hair away from her face and tucking it behind her ear.
"I don't know if you know him or not, but his name was Hatori." She said.

"I think I might have heard one of the Sohma kids talking about him..." Miki said. "Well, I think it's really cool that you are friends with some of the sohmas. How about Yuki? Or the newer guy, Kyo? I hear that they are some of the best looking in the whole family," She said with a smile. She'd seen Kyo before. Bright orange hair. She thought she might have seen Yuki, but she wasn't sure. Purple-ish/gray-ish hair? Walking around with a pretty, red-headed girl?

"Yeah, I know both of them. Kyo and I are pretty close." She said.
She paused a moment.
"What about the Cullens? do you know anthing about them?" She asked. Miki seemed to know alot about the kids at school.

"I think I've seen them around. A girl named Ciara Cullen goes to my middle school. I think I might have seen all of the Cullens walking home together once, too..." Miki said, in thought. "Aren't they all really good looking? And Yuki Sohma-san walks with them now and then, right?"

"They are really pretty. Do you know why their never here on sunny days?" She asked.

"Nah, I don't know. I hear that they like camping and stuff. So maybe they go places when it's sunny. They miss a lot of school in the spring, but they are still able to get perfect scores all the time," Miki said. "That's what I hear about Ciara Cullen and other Cullens anyway..."

"Cool. Wow, you're almost four years older than me," Miki said. "Y'know what? The youngest kid here is like... two. Left on the doorstep here one day and Jaylinn and the other person who runs this place are raising him." She said, changing the subject just 'cause she wanted to.
