Lawliet read the address on a small piece of paper. It had Kira's address on it which he needed to get to her house. He stood for a moment one hand in his pocket the other holding the paper up.
"Hm... Abbi. I am not sure where the house is. These directions are very unclear." He said in a monotone voice.
((Don't be expecting L to be huggy or anything cause he has problems with that sort of stuff. XD I was thinking Shade could run into them.))

Shade had been walking down the street, a slightly bored expression on her face.
She sighed, scanning the crowd. She walked past a man standing on the sidewalk. She looked over at him, not reconizing her uncle.
"Hey, you." She said to him, stopping. "Are you lost?" She got strait to the point, not being one for small talk.

"Hiiii," Abbi said, waving at her older cousin cheerily. Shade looked like Abbi's dad, so she managed to recognize her slightly.
"We're looking for my aunt Kira's house!" She said. "Do you know Aunt Kira?"

Shade paused.
"Yeah. She's my mom." Shade said to the little girl. "It's that blue house over there." She said pointing at it.

Abbi smiled. "Ooh, you're Shadie then, right?" She asked. "That's Uncle L. 'Member him?" She was smiling at Shade.

Lawliet kinda looked at Abbi for a moment. She was so talkative. At least Shade seemed to get strait to the point... Then again Abbi didn't linger on other things for to long either.
"We aren't lost." He said in his normal monotone voice. Lawliet looked back down at Abbi. She was doing most of the talking. He glanced at Shade. "Lawliet I suppose... I'm Kira's brother." He explained with out the nickname. Although he preferred L to Lawliet.

Shade smirked and raised an eyebrow. "You aren't lost?" She asked, the smirk still on her face. "Any way, mom has mentioned you once or twice. She says that you like 'L' better so I'll just call you that. Umm, I guess you guys could come in, although Mom's sleeping at the moment." Shade started towards the house, expecting her family members to follow.

Lawliet nodded. Abbi and him had already been over the funny name thing the first time they had really met. He went ahead and followed Shade and Abbi.
((I guess so... What will it be about? I know that they are going to get in a fight. *snickers*))

(( Maybe Moshi could hit Shade or something... ::grins evily:  Shade opened the door to her house. It appeared that Kira was already awake, because the small woman was making breakfast for herself. "There you are. You know I don't like it when you just dissapear on me." Kira chided her daughter. She looked up at the company Shade had brought. Her eyes lit up as she looked at her younger brother. "L!" She said happily to him. |

"Hello, Abbi." Kira said, smiling softly at the little girl. "How have you been?" She asked the two.
A dark figure appeared in a door way.
"Hello...L." Said Moshi, his blue eyes looked the investigator up and down. "Why are you here?" He asked bluntly.

Abbi smiled at Shade, then turned to face Moshi. The way he talked was scary... She inched behind L's legs, then peeked around them to look at Moshi, rather frightened.
It seemed she was rather good at telling when people were bad.

((L got stuck with the abusive case cause he knew the family. XD))
"Because... I was the only one who could take Abbi at the time b~ut Kira would know that I can't take care of a kid to save my life... Although it has seemed to be working for a little while." Lawliet explained simply. He glanced at Moshi. So this was the guy he had been stuck with to investigate. This wasn't exactly the type of case he wanted.

Moshi, who had been leaning against to door way of his room, stepping out into the light. His dark features were shown clearly now. He was a rather handsome, but scary looking man.
He smirked a bit. "You're Abbi, right? My brother's daughter...I guess that makes you my neice." He said to her with a dark chuckle.
Kira laughed a bit at L's comment. "Hmm, you never were really the type of person to work well with young children. She seems to like you, though. That's good." Kira commented.
Shade watched her uncle wearily. What was he going to do...?
Moshi glanced over at Shade, a deadly smirk and gleam in his eyes.

Lawliet kinda just scratched his ankle with the heal of his shoe. "Okay Abbi." He whispered back knowing very well who Moshi was. He turned back to Kira. "Yes I suppose." He said reverting back to his normal monotone voice. Now how would this go along?

((I was thinking he could hit Shade and Kira tries to stop him, and then he hits Kira, then goes insane and punches L in the eye or something...))
Moshi Walked a bit father into the room, passing by Shade.
SMACK.
The back of his hand struck her across the face, she gasped in surprise and her head flew to one side from the force of the blow. She held on hand to her now very red cheek.
Kira gasped as well, she rushed over as Moshi rose his hand to hit Shade again.
"Stop it!" Kira cried out, grabbing the bigger man's hand. Mosi jerke it away forcefully then hit Kira in the jaw, causing her to cry out as she bit her tounge, drawing blood.
