"Hm. Sorry." Lawliet commented. "But the house is right here." He said walking up to the door and unlocking it with the house key and opening the door.

Kira followed him inside the house. It smelled really sweet inside. Like frosting and syurp.
Oh, this was little kid heaven.
She could see a large jar of candy on the table, with a cake... and more candy...

"Sure." Lawliet answered with a shrug. He walked over to a draw in the kitchen and started digging through. He found a hammer but no key. Lawliet kept going through the draws. He found a sucker and opened it and popped it in his mouth and kept looking. Lawliet walked back into the living room and picked up his bag and dug through it too.
"Hm... Lets use the hammer." He concluded with a glance at Kira.

Abbi was going over to the cake, sliding her finger into the icing and coming up with a whole finger-full of it. she stuck it in her mouth. Mmm, chocolate.

((Hm... How to break the chain... It's hard playing L. XD))
Lawliet walked over to the counter and grabbed the hammer. Setting it down on the island counter where he looked at the chain as though deciding where to hit it. It didn't take much when he finally did use the hammer. But now they both had a chain hanging of their wrists. "Now possibly the office. Where we can get this off..." He glanced at Abbi before getting a plate for the girl. He sliced a piece of the cake and handed it to her with a fork.

Lawliet leaned against the island. "Probably because he's abusive. He probably figured out that I was supposed to be investigating him." Lawliet said in an almost bored tone. "I really wasn't suppose to tell you. But I don't think it will matter." He finished looking at Kira. Then with a glance at Abbi he said a simple, "your welcome," before looking back at Kira.

"Hm... I don't think that he's abusive..." Kira said, trailing off. Once again she was only seeing the good qualities in someone.

"Kira your too nice." Lawliet said simply. "You really need to just admit it. Because it's true." He finished still monotonous. Now that he had seen Moshi and what he did, Lawliet wasn't letting it go till the man was at least out of Kira's house.

"But it's terrible to do that..." She said, playing with a small strand of her hair. "Plus I can't just kick him out if I where to admit that he was abusive... he'd have no place to go..." She rambled on a bit, then shut her mouth noticing that she was talking too much.

Lawliet glanced at Abbi but quickly returned his gaze back to Kira. "He's a full grown man with a job. I'm more then sure he could find another place to stay. Apartments aren't that expensive." Lawliet said taking a moment to think. "What about Shade? He hits her too." He added wondering if that would persuade his sister.

Kira pondered over that for a moment. She honsetly didn't know what to say at the moment. Lawliet's arguement was a good one. Kira finally gave it.
"I suppose that you are right..." She said. "But I would allow him to stay, if her weren't hitting my daughter." Kra said with the slightest hint of iciness to her tone. She honsetly did not want to do anything to upset the man, but her brother was right....

Lawliet nodded satisfied she agreed. "Well if he wasn't abusing /anyone/ we wouldn't have a problem." He commented. "Don't worry about angering him. I'll bring back up if I have too." Lawliet said with a slight smirk. He looked at the chain for a moment. "But I suppose we should get the hand-cuffs off." He finished airily.
