((Okay. XD))
Now Akito and Devon were both at the Cullen house. Akito had gotten a chance to see the clothes in her suit case and she'd nearly torn it apart. She'd searched through, trying to find any yukatas at all. Nope. Nothing. She had glared hatefully at Alice, who just ignored the glare and shut the suitcase again, dragging the luggage--along with Akito and Devon--out to the car.
"This'll be so much fun!" She squealed.
"I. Hate. You."
"Awww, Aki, calm down, it'll be fun! And you won't have to hide being a girl! I don't see why you hate it so much.I thought you didn't like hiding your gender!"
"It's how girly all the clothes are. And really, Alice, you expect me to swim? Especially in those swimsuits?"
"Bikinis are very flattering to your body, Akito. And there are a couple tankinis in there, if you really want to be difficult," Alice replied.
Akito clenched her fists as Alice pulled out of the garage in her yellow porsche.

"Akito... calm down. You only have to swim once, right, Alice?" Devon said, shooting Alice a glance that told her that she better say yes, or she wasn't coming back to Japan.... in one peice.

"Yes..." Alice grumbled. However, she was lying. No way was she going to make Akito swim only once when she packed all those swimsuits! "I don't understand why swimming bugs you so much. Plenty of people love it." Then realization hit her. "Akito, you have been swimming before, right?"
Akito's face heated up, and was now bright red. "O-of course I have!" She lied defensively, suddenly very interested in what was outside the window.
Alice giggled. "I get to teach Aki how to swim!"

Devon glared. "Alice, stop it. If she doesn't want to swim she doesn't have to." He told Alice. "So don't force her to."

Akito leaned on Devon gratefully.
"She needs to go swimming at some point. I'd bet she'll enjoy it. You guys can wade in the ocean, too. That'll be fun!" Alice didn't mention that a lot of people (mostly men) might stare at Akito. She really was pretty.
Alice soon stopped at the airport and led Akito in, making Devon carry the luggage. She'd apparently already bought plane tickets. The plane would be leaving soon, too. So pulled the two onto the plane.
"First class!" Alice chirped at them energetically, sitting at the seats she'd gotten for her, Akito and Devon.

Devon sighed and sat down before gazing out the window. A flight attendent came up and gently reminded him to buckle his seat beat. He mumbled something and buskled up before gazing out the window again.

Akito buckled as well, reluctant as she was. She leaned against Devon, letting her eyes close. Might as well sleep as much during this ride as she could. There was going to be a big time change, and since it was a thirteen- to fourteen-hour flight.
It was a shock to be woken up by Alice. It had felt as if she'd only just fallen asleep, and suddenly they were at their destination. It looked to be the middle of the day here, and Akito groaned. She was still tired. Alice helped her out of her seat, tugging Devon along as well. They got their luggage and were off again, in a rented car.
"I didn't make reservations, but I know the perfect hotel to stay out. It's called Ebb Tide hotel. They have an indoor pool, and room service. Unfortunately, there's no Japanese, sorry Aki. But now you'll get to try something new. But there's a beautiful ocean view, and we're close to the aquarium and the gift shops."
"Nn," was Akito's only reply. It was a way of saying 'I'm mad at you right now so don't expect me to say anything to you'.

Devon had carried Akito all the way through the air port, on to the plane, off the plane, and then to the place where they rented the car.
Devon mumbled something under his breath then sighed. "There are blinds to the windows, right? And thick curtains? I don't want to give a maid a heart attack when she walks in to the room and sees me glittering." He grumbled.

"Of course! All hotels do!" Alice chirped. "But the pool doesn't have curtains. I'll just pay them enough money that they reserve the pool for us later. Besides, I think Akito would like that better than swimming in a pool with people she doesn't know." She smiled. She really was trying to help. Really. She glanced back at Akito.
Akito merely glared murderously at Alice, then stared out the window again.
Alice pulled into the driveway of the Ebb Tide Hotel, and got out, nearly having to drag Akito out of the car. People were staring, which was the only thing that made Akito stop struggling. She didn't wish to look like a child. Alice again made Devon carry the luggage, telling him he had to act like a gentleman. She then led them in and checked into the hotel, getting a room at the top floor, so they could have the best view of the ocean.
When they arrived in the room, Akito immediately laid down on one of the beds, obviously still a little bit tired, despite it being the middle of the day in America.

Devon sat all of the bags and stuff down, then walked over to the window and pulled the blinds shut so nobody could look in from a different building across the street or next to them or something. "Is it too hot, Akito?" Asked Devon, wanting to make her more comfortable.

"It's not that," Akito replied. "It's just... It's probably the middle of the night in Japan." This statement was punctuated with a yawn.
"You're still tired? Even after all that sleep on the plane?" Alice asked.
Akito deliberately stayed silent, still not wishing to speak with Alice.
Alice sighed. "Well, why don't you get a couple more hours of sleep in, and then we can do something fun. And I promise the swimming will wait, 'kay?" She said.
This helped a bit. At least Alice cared. Well, of course she did. Alice considered Akito as a good friend. Why wouldn't she care? "But you should get used to this time-zone, so you and Devon can go to places and aren't walking around at night." She laughed. Akito sighed. She didn't want to admit that Alice was beginning to help a bit. She wanted to stay mad for a little longer. "What do you have in mind for what we do when I wake up?" Akito finally decided to ask.
"Dinner, or lunch or something. You're probably hungry, since you didn't eat on the plane. And then we can go down to the beach."
Akito had felt the cold outside. It wasn't too cold, but it was chilly. It was something Akito had never experienced before. Cold? Near the ocean? It was strange to her. So she nodded, sleepily. The anger was wearing off, to Akito's dismay, but she was too tired to really correct herself, and was soon asleep.
"Such a big time-change is gonna be a problem," Alice mumbled, half to herself. She was digging through Akito's bag to find some clothes for her to change into. She wasn't going to have Akito walking around town dressed as a man. Or so formally. What was the fun of dressing formally at the beach?
"Devon, do you think Akito would prefer a red shirt or a yellow one...?" She asked curiously. Red would definitely look good.

"... I don't know." devon said to Alice, staring at her. "It's just a shirt." He said to Alice. He prayed that she wouldn't make him change, but knowing her she probably would.
He glazed at the blind covered windows for a moment, running a hand through his light blonde hair. He let out a soft sigh before leaning against the wall.

"Red, then," Alice said. She then pulled out a pair of dark jeans. She figured Akito would prefer that over some other choices that Alice had in mind. She'd gotten Akito new shoes too, of course. She decided some plain black flats would be okay.
After a while, Akito woke again. "Oh, good! You're awake! Are you ready to go eat?" Alice asked hopefully.
Akito nodded. and stood up. Out of habit, she'd removed her shoes at the door, and went to retrieve them. Alice pulled her back. "Come on, you need to get changed, here!" She shoved the clothes into Akito's arms. Akito looked through the clothes. Women's clothes, of course. But at least the shirt was one of those half-sleeve ones, as opposed to other things Alice has had her wear. And the jeans were alright. Akito headed to the bathroom reluctantly and changed, knowing if she didn't, Alice would force her into them. She came out a little later in the new outfit.
Alice squealed. "Okay, let's go! Aki, you look so pretty!"
Akito did not respond, but went over to Devon and leaned against him, more out of habit than anything else.
"I might enjoy some of this vacation," Akito admitted quietly, speaking to him, though she was sure Alice heard, judging by the excited squeal.

Devon just simply nodded. "By the way, you looko nice." He complimented her quietly.

A little bit of red was noticeable in her cheeks. "Ah, well... it's better than what she usually forces me into..." Akito was admitting this reluctantly.
"I'm still here!" Alice said in mock offense.
Akito glared daggers at Alice.
"Ooh, ouch... knives. You're really mad, aren't you Aki?"
Akito sighed. "I'm mad that you made plans for us again and didn't care whether we wanted to do it or not. I will admit that some of this is... rather enjoyable, though. Or at least, I expect it to. Don't disappoint me, and I might forgive you."
Alice clapped, then took Devon's hand and Akito's hand. "Okay! Let's take you out to eat. Akito, do you want to walk around or drive. It's a small enough town, but it might tire you out. Sightseeing is loads of fun, though!"
"I'll walk," Akito said flatly. She kind of wanted to see everything, feel the cool air on her skin. She liked the smell of the ocean, too. It was nice. She wouldn't admit it, though. She didn't want to say Alice was right.
Alice led them out of the room, then the hotel.
"Don't expect there to be much Japanese food, Aki. It's an ocean town, so it's likely the majority will be seafood."
Akito nodded. "I know that," she lied.
Alice giggled. They began their walk. Akito liked it. Every ten yards, there was a lamp post. She stared out at the ocean. There were a few people out, wading out into the ocean in their clothes, kids squealing and having fun. She envied how carefree they were. It didn't show in her expression, though. It was blank.

Devon watched. So many people. It was different then any place he had been. it was so strange, but nice. He looked around, then back at Alice. "What am I supposed do while she eats? Won't it be weird if I don't eat?" He asked.

"Just talk. I'll even leave you two alone," Alice promised. "Who cares if it looks weird, really? It's just so you two can have a good time. "

((Wow, I just visited typo city! XD Sorry, but I found quite a few typos...))
Now and then, Akito would notice that there were women staring at Devon. She didn't notice there were a few men staring in her direction, though. But, knowing women were amazed by Devon's looks, and apparently wanted him for themselves, she got a little more clingy, leaning on him as they walked.
Alice inwardly laughed at Akito's jealousy. She really didn't have to worry. Not to mention she was one of the prettiest girls out here right now, so there really wasn't any reason to be concerned.
Akito's eyes were begin to wander to some other couples. Walking, laughing, holding hands. Some were dancing. Some were just laughing together. Akito felt a little envious. Those people didn't know how lucky they were to be able to do that whenever they wanted. Akito knew that maybe, if she'd been raised as a woman, and Ren hadn't been abusive, she could be a little more like that. She then looked to the ocean. She didn't notice how it matched the color of her eyes. But it was different than the ocean that she had always went to. She liked it better. She watched the waves, and watched parents keep their children from going too far in. Of course, after seeing that, she thought about how lucky the children were to have two caring parents, alive. Then she had to look away.
"Look, Aki, how about over at that restaurant? Mike's by the Sea?" Alice suggested.
Akito shrugged. "Sure, why not?" The restauarant was near, and she could see it just fine.
"Well! I'll leave you two for now. Have fun!"
And Alice was gone.
"I like it here, but I hate it too," Akito admitted it to Devon.

((Yeah, sorry, I was tired. XD))
Devon nodded. "Yeah.. these men keep staring at you..." He murmured to her, pulling her a bit closer when they walked it.
