Alice and Rosalie had sort of been planning. It had been Alice's idea first, then Rosalie helped. You see, she'd decided that since most of the Sohmas were going on a trip to the Sohma beach house, Akito should get her own private time with Devon. And she should get to be herself. So, Alice had started planning, and then let Rosalie in on it. In the end, they had two suitcases packed, one full of clothes for Devon, another filled with clothes for Akito. Women's clothes, swimsuits included. And it was Alice's self-declared mission to make sure Akito went swimming in one at least once on the trip. Alice now danced down the hall to Devon's room. Good, he was still home.
"Devooon! I had a fun idea for you and Aki-chan!" She said excitedly.

Devon had just gotten done with being tortured by Rhea, so he really wasn't in the best of moods.

"Aww, calm down, Devon. I wanted you and Aki-chan to have a fun summer, so Rose and I thoiught that you two should go on a vacation. Take her to America or something. Oregon Coast! It's cool enough there that she won't get headaches from heat, and it's not extra sunny. So you can be outside with her a lot." Alice giggled.

"Come on, you like it! I'm sure! Go tell Aki-chan! You two are leaving tomorrow, 'kay?" Alice laughed. "I'll be tagging along for the drive, and to make sure Aki goes swimming at least once. Then I'm joining the rest of the Sohmas at the beach house."

Devon groaned but got up anyways.
"All right... I'll go over to her house." He told Alice, heading for the door. "But don't do anything like that ever again." He told the younger girl sternly.

Devon mumbled under his breath, before leaving his room and going down to the garage, and driving down to the main house.
He got there quickly, and walked into Akito's house, not bothering to knock. He didn't have to.
"Akito, Alice has once again made plans for us without our permission..." He said.

Akito stiffened a bit. She really had no problem with water, except for the fact that she'd not once gone swimming before. It may be unbelievable, but being the sickly child she was, she never got a chance.
"Swimming?" That's basically all she could get out at the moment. The vacation part was all right, actually. The swimming, however, was not.

"Probably... I could tell her not too, if you want. Like that would work..." Devon said, muttering the last part to himself. You could tell he wasn't too thrilled about being forced to go somewhere.
"Oh, yeah, the vacation is in North America..." He told her. "Oregan Coast."

"Really, you'd think she'd at least send me somewhere I'd enjoy myself. Beaches are hot and sunny, and give me headaches," Akito muttered. Obviously, she wasn't aware that there were beaches that were not hot.

"I think these beaches are ather north, where the weather is cooler, and it's cloudier." He told Akito.

Akito nodded, and she tried to hide just how much that appealed to her. Key word is tried. She failed in hiding it. "At least she picked a place with weather that won't make me headachey," she mumbled, half to herself. "Well, I guess we can't exactly... argue with Alice." She still didn't like the idea of being so far from her juunishi. And swimming... it would be embarrassing to reveal to Devon--and Alice--that she didn't know how to swim.
