The school was so different from her old one. Sarah didn't know if she cold do it, but she stepped out of the side of her moms car. It was raining slightly from the gray sky. 'What a great way to start a new school' She thought, sighing. She had no friends here, and was not sure how to make them. She was dressed differently than the others. Everyone but her were wearing slightly formal clothes, skirts and flats for girls and slacks for boys. She was just wearing a comfortable shirt and jeans. Her long, dark blond hair was up in a messy ponytail. After hesitating and taking in the school in front of her, she stepped onto the sidewalk and walked slowly into the main office.

Austin was called to the office, again. He has been blamed for fights he didn't even start. But this time, he didn't do anything. He was almost to the office door when a girl steped in front of him. "Oh, sorry," he said, in a not-so-happy tone.

"Its okay." Sarah said quickly. She took a half step away from the guy, getting out of the way. Then she frowned, looking at his hair. "Is that natural?" She asked. 'aw, great!' she thought. 'the best thing i could think up was what his hair looks like?' She looked angrily down to her dirty shoes.

Austin looked away," sadly, yes." Maybe she was going to make fun of him for his hair too, just like the others. He had no friends just because of his hair.

"Oh, I like it. It's cool." Sarah said casually, like it really wasn't a very big thing that his hair was pure white, which it really wasn't for her. At her old school, people would dye their hair neon. She opened the office door for him.

"Thanks," Austin said uncomfortablly. He wasn;t used to people doing things for him. When he was little, he was picked on for his hair. Which lowered his self-esteam. He walked in," the office called me," he said to the woman at the desk.

The lady pouted. "Again Austin? I was hoping not to see you this year! What happened this time?" She asked in a breath. She tisked. "And on the first day of school. Thats the second time in a row you have had to come in on the first day." Sarah had come back in and had uncomfortably sat down, watching Austin curiously.

"Oh, well, the principal wants to talk to you." The clerk said, smiling sweetly at him. "Go right on back."

Austin walked into the principals office," yes sir?"
The principal looked up," ah. Austin. Don't worry, you're not in trouble this time. We were wondering if you can help out the new student."
Austin just stood there. He wasn't used to this type of stuff. Because of how he was treated. "Ok. Where is he?"
"SHE," the principal corrected," is right there." He pointed to the girl that opened the door for him.

Sarah just sat in the chair on the other side of the counter, wondering what was happening in there. She was holding nervously onto her red backpack. A strand fell out of her poneytail, nd she quickly wiped it behind her ear.

"Her," Austin asked.
"Yes," the principal replied," and don't get her in trouble."
"Yes sir," Austin said in a low, angry tone. He walked out of the principals office and sat next to Sarah.

"Oh." She said simply. "Okay then... Do you know where these classes are? I have no clue." Sarah held out the paper that had all of her classes on them, and showed him. "Oh, I'm Sarah, by the way"
