Kyo looked surprised. "Hatori? How'd ya meet him?" He eyed her side, remembering what he'd seen at the store. He didn't say anything though.

"Hatori doesn't normally make new friends. Did he take you to the Main House?" Kyo asked, something along concern in his voice. He was thinking about how Akito would have reacted to seeing Shade with Hatori. He shivered involuntarily.

Shade was at first vonfused why Kyo said black hair guy, instead, but then she remebered that no one else knew about Akito's real gender.
"Yeah. He didn't seem too happy that I was there."
((I think it would be funny if Kyo that Akito had hurt Shade and he gets super mad at Akito and then learns from her that Shade was hit by a car. XD))

"Yeah, Hatori wanted to marry this girl, Kana, and Akito basically blew up and smashed a vase into his eye." Kyo said quietly.

"Eh... girls outside the family. And then he's horrible to the family too." Kyo shrugged and unthinkingly fingered the juzu beads on his wrist. The dark, dark red that was nearly black now, and the bone-white.

"Yeah... somehow Akito convinced Kana that Hatori's injury was all her fault... and Kana believed the crap. So--" Kyo cut himself off there, as he was unware that Shade already knew about the curse and Hatori's extra power.

She looked up at him with her vivid, unnatural, tropical green eyes. They seemed soulful, and full of knowledge that a girl her age shouldn't be allowed to contain.
"Yes." She said softly. "I do know...Hatori told me after my...acceident. He saved my life...I gave him a hug then..." She figured Kyo knew what would happen after that. he turned into a sea-horse and Shade had no earthly clue what happened to Hatori untill he told her.
She looked back at her fingers, then back at Kyo, waiting for him to respond.
