Kyo pushed the cart through the grocery store. He had pursuaded Tohru to let him do the shopping for her today. He'd just started shopping when he saw Shade.
He turned the cart and headed over to her.
"Yo." He said.

Shade turned her head. She turned her whole body, and part of the bandage on her side could be seen. She wore a light jacket, so you couldn't see the bruising on her arms.
"Hey, Kyo." She said, she was shopping for her mother. She held a bag of vegtables.

Kyo smiled slightly. "I'm doing shopping for Tohru. I can't believe how unwilling she is to let others do work!" He laughed.

"Tohru does seem the type to help others and doesn't want anyone to do any work." She said.

"Sounds like something Tohru would do." Kyo laughed. "And speaking of injuries, Hatori says that Yuki will get his cast off in late November or early December."

"That's good for him, I guess." She said.
"What happened to him, anyway?" She asked.
An old woman that Shade didn't know walked out of the store. Shade watched her. A dark cloud hovered over her. Only Shade could see that cloud. Shade watched wide-eyed as the woman walked out of the store. Things began to buzz in her head. That old woman only had a year left....she was dying of natural causes.
Shade turned her attention back to Kyo, hoping he hadn't noticed.

Kyo had noticed, but he didn't say anything. "Ahaha. He fell off of his bike. The other arm, the one that's bandaged, it got scraped really badly." He laughed.

Kyo was waiting at the exit, holding a couple of grocery bags. He was scanning the crowd for Shade.

She smiled and walked over to him. Her green eyes were filled with warmth and happiness and she stood next to him.
"Where are we going to go again?" She asked him, her head ever-so-slightly tilted to the side
