Crystal, wearing Shigure's clothes, as normal, sat curled up on the couch with Shigure, her nose pressed against his warm neck. Her dark obsidion curls layed gently on her bronze shoulders. Shigure shirt was a bit too large for her, but she didn't care. It had his scent all over it. And she loved the way that he smelled. Musky, earthy. People always told her she smelled really good herself. A floral and earthy smell combined. And add that with her natural beauty, it was like she was a beautiful tree or flower that had just sprouted out of the ground right there.
She nuzzled his neck absent-midedly, and curled up into a tighter ball next to his body.
Life could seriously not get any better then this.
Her eyes were closed, she was drifting off into sleep, Shigure was probably already alseep. But she could never tell if he just had his eyes closed or if her was really sleeping.
She let out a small, content sigh that was barely heard.
Like I said before, life for her could not get any better then this.
Something that smelled horrid came to her. She wrinkled her nose against Shigure's skin, he probably felt it.
What was that?
She opened on bark colored eye and gasped, there, sitting on a chair, was Ember. Red-eyed and smirking.

Shigure had opened his eyes. Of course, he hadn't been sleeping. Nahh, he'd slept before Crystal came over. But.. Oh, great. 'Angel' was here. He wasn't sure whether to be irritated, scared, or both. He sat up.

Crystal pushed herself up woth Shigure, a glare on her face.
Angel laughed. "Don't get all worked up, Crys." She said, calling Crystal by her nickname to see how Shigure would react.
"I just came here to tell you something. Then I'll leave." She said, keeping them in suspence.

She shrugged. "Oh nothing important. I went to go see Hatori, when Akito stumbled into our little meeting, well, let's just say that I got mad and lost it. Akito is dead now. I killed her." She said with a small laugh.

Shigure blinked, trying to understand what he'd just heard. He wondered to himself if the curse would have broken if Akito had died. No, probably not. Since there were no people possessed by the 'god' before Akito.
"What?!" He finally said. His calm facade breaking at that single phrase.

"Well, if you'd like to know details, I could tell you." She said to him. "First, I tired her to a chair and gagged her. Then I poured alcohol all over her and then dropped a lit match by hre feet. Her legs quickly caught on fire. Then I ungagged her to here her screams. Five minutes later, her body was body reconizable. Scarrde permantley by the fire. She had died." She paused; then continued. "How much do you want to bet that her coffin is going to be nailed shut?" She asked with a small, deadly smirk.

Shigure glared at Angel. He couldn't believe she did something like that to Akito. Sure, Akito was cruel, but nobody deserved that.
His fists clenched, and even tears touched his eyes. But only a few, which were quickly blinked away. "You didn't! You're lying," He sounded like he was trying to convince himself, more than accuse Angel of lying.

Crystal looked over at Shigure.
His eyes...they always gave him away...
Angel laughed. "I did, Shigure. You know I did. Just think of what I did to Yuki. I left him to die and he was rather unlucky to survive." She said. "Do you miss her? Don't you wish that you could hold her one more time? Kiss her one more time?" She taunted.

Shigure glared. He had enjoyed kissing Akito, holding her, but he had Crystal now. Maybe he couldn't hold her. Maybe that was impossible. But he could kiss her.
"No," He hissed. He immediately regretted saying it, because he did miss her, he... did miss everything they'd done together. "I mean... that is..." He didn't continue.

Angel laughed.
Crystal felt angry. Angel was twisting Shigure around. Making him say things he didn't mean. It was working too.
Crystal didn't say anything.
"What about your darling Crys? Do you not like to kiss her? Is she just not the same as Akito?She's just something that you can throw aside after your done with her, isn't she? Something pretty to look at and admire untill her beauty gets boring." Angel said smoothly.

"He said shut up!" Crystal growled out, her fists clenched, little tears forming in her eyes.

Shigure was silent for a long time. "Maybe I do still love Akito. So what? I love Crys more. Akito already has her bloodsucker, anyway."

Angel laughed. "Her 'bloodsucker'? This stupid mutt has been rubbing off on you." She said.
"And you admitted it. You love Akito." She said.
"Now, I'll let you in on a secret. I haven't killed Akito yet. But you have to pay close attention if you want her to live." Angel said, a smirk on her face.
"Akito, right now, is passed out in her home. Bound and gagged. I told the maids that she was sleeping and not to disturb her. Now you have to chose, Gure-ko." She suddenly reached out and grabbed a fistful of Crystal's curly hair. She pulled Crystal closer, then held a knife to her throat. Crystal had been struggling untill the cool blade pressed up against her skin. She froze and almost stopped breathing.
"I can kill Crystal, or I can kill Akito. It's your choice. This is how you can prove your love." She said.

Shigure seemed to freeze. Crystal or Akito. Crystal's life, or Akito's life. That's what he had to choose? He knew for a fact that if he didn't save Akito, and Devon found out it was his fault, he'd be dead, and he'd have plenty of regret weighing him down, too. But if he didn't save Crystal, he wasn't sure if he could go on. He kept on glancing at Crystal, then at the door.
Crystal or Akito? He never thought he'd have to face that question.

Angel smirked. "You have a minute to chose. If you don't chose, I kill them both." She grinned and pressed the blade harder against the girls throat. Crystal winced away from the blade.

Shigure sighed, wondering if he'd regret what he was about to choose. But... he'd regret his choice either way, so why shouldn't he pick Crystal? And besides, in ways, he really did only care about himself. And if Crystal was dead, there'd only be Akito, who was no longer in love with him. But if he saved Crystal, he'd still have the girl he loved.
"Get away from Crystal," He demanded. "Get that knife off her neck, now," His voice was shaky, almost as if he were holding back tears, but it also might have been that he was unsure with his decision.

Angel smirked, and pulled the knife away, pushing Crystal towards Shigure.
Crystal stared to breathe again, now that it seemed that she was in no mortal danger. That was much too close for her taste.
Angel pulled something out of her pocket, and tossed Shigure a silver cell phone.
"I'll give you a call. She'll be dead with in the hour. See ya later." She said with a wink. But instead of leaving, she went upstairs.
She went into Yuki's room. He was at school at the moment. She pulled another item out of her pocket. A picture. Of her. As a human.
The picture was sepia. But you could clearly tell that the small girl in the picture was Ember. The dress she was wearing toghtly held onto her upper body, showing off her very narrow waist.
Ember smirked and tapped it to his door. He would know that she was still watching him. She was playing a 'game' now. Something that amused her...
She walked back down stairs and left.
Crystal watched. Once she was sure that the vampire was out of ear-shot, she turned to face Shigure, only having to look up a bit to see him clearly in the eye.
"You still love her." She pointed out to Shigure.
