Yuki was walking with Emiko. They were currently silent, and Yuki was staring at the sky. The clouds were a dark gray. He got the feeling it would be raining soon. Even though they weren't talking, it wasn't awkward. It was more like a 'nothing-needs-to-be-said' kind of silence. It was comfortable. He wondered if he and Emiko would end up together. He still missed Ember. Horribly. But he didn't have the guts to tell this girl that he wasn't ready for another relationship yet. He liked her. She was kind, sweet, kind of quiet. And in some ways, she even reminded him of Ember.

Emiko walked quitely with Yuki. She looked up as a rain drop splased on her face. She blinked and looked back down. She gazed over at Yuki, then looked away, her face tainted red. She wanted to kiss him... but she really didn't have the guts to do that.

It didn't take long before the rain was falling fast and hard. Yuki didn't really mind it though. "Does the rain bother you at all?" He asked out of courtesy. If she didn't like it, he didn't want to make her walk through the pouring rain.

"No, just wanted to check with you," Yuki replied, continuing to look up as the rain splattered his face. His hair was drenched pretty quickly, plastered to his face. He wiped water out of his eyes, wiping his hair away from his face as well.

Emiko watched Yuki. Suddenly, she tugged gently on his wet sleeve. She looked up at the taller boy. She was trying to gather up her courage, so she cloed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. She she opened her eyes she leaned up on her toes and kissed him.

Yuki's eyes widened, but really, he couldn't push her away. He had to hold onto his crutches. He just waited for her to stop, not exactly kissing her back.
((Okay, so she could hug him now, and freak out, or she could pull away, apologize, then later she could hug him. Your choice. XD))

"It's not a problem. You... kind of caught me off-guard," Yuki replied quietly. He was blushing himself. He shook his hair slightly. It had somehow gotten in his eyes again.

Yuki didn't say anything to her. "Huh, I wonder what time it is. It's getting dark," he commented.
((Ooh! He could walk her home and she could hug him goodbye! XD Or, or, better yet, she could give him a peck on the lips and THEN hug him. XD Freeeaaaak oooouuut! XD))

"Well, it's really rare for me to see Dad. He was never around the house. I mean, at all. Then Mom was, as she put it 'very busy'. Busy, meaning she had parties and such to go to," Yuki explained.
