Jackelyn walked through the park tracking the scent of that girl. That girl that had taken her place in Azriel's life. But she still felt that she didn't need Azriel. She just didn't want him to be happy when she was miserable. If she found the girl and got rid of her. Then Azriel would be just as bad off as herself. Jackelyn stopped a few blocks away from Jade's house. If she waited for the girl to come out then things could go better. She wouldn't have to kill more then one today. The vampire slipped off to the side in the shadows to wait.

Jade walked out of her house very cheerily. She was usually like this, the bounce in her step. She was just going off to the park, to meet Azriel again. She hummed a quiet tune to herself as she walked toward the sidewalk.

Jackelyn caught the girls scent as she walked out of the house. She smirked as she crouched down. In a one swift movement she slipped out and was in front of Jade. "Hello." She greeted with the tilt of her head. "Where are you going?" She asked a slight edge that wouldn't be noticed.

Jade staggered backward, surprised as Jackelyn got in front of her. "To the park," she said warily.

"To see Azriel." Jackelyn concluded eyes narrowing slightly. She was debating when to grab the girl. Or if she should wait a moment and stretch it out. If Azriel was around she would have to be careful not to let Jade scream or something.

"Maybe..." Jade murmered, taking a step back. She wondered vaguely if she'd be able to make it back into her house. Well, if she did, Jackelyn would just break the door, wouldn't she?

Jackelyn tilted her head once more. The girl had stepped back a few times. But it wouldn't matter. Jackelyn was stronger and faster. "You should stay way from him. He's a vampire again and his control may just diminish." She said staying casual as she spoke. But now she slipped forward and was once more right in front of Jade. Before Jade could react Jackelyn pinned her against a tree with her mouth covered. "Knowing about vampires can be bad for your well being you know." She hissed.

Jade let out a muffled scream. It wouldn't be loud enough to attract any attention though. She would have answered but she couldn't. She tried to bite Jackelyn's finger even though she knew it wasn't much use. She tried to kick the girl now. She was only doing it though, because her father had told her to defend herself if she ever got in a situation like this.

Jackelyn smirked. "You should know that struggling won't work. I'm a lot stronger then I look." She said finding the girls struggle to be slight amusing.
Azriel had been waiting in the park and had made it to the edge closer to where Jackelyn and Jade were. He was listening for foot steps and instead heard a muffled scream. He looked up reddened eyes widened. For a moment he hesitated before finding himself running to the scene. "Jackelyn stop." He growled pulling her away from Jade.
Jackelyn struggled as she was drug back. But no matter what Azriel was still stronger. "Why?" She spat. "You turn me into a vampire and leave now you want me to stop." She spat the words at him. He was now in front of Jade.
"I thought you were dead." Azriel replied coldly. "But your not the same as you used to be. You've become bitter and vengeful instead of going on with your existence."He added voice still cold.

Jade remained pressed against the tree. Obviously she was scared. Of Jackelyn anyway. She realized she hadn't really been allowing herself to breathe when Jackelyn had pinned her against the tree. Now she was trying to take deep breaths, but kept hyperventilating now and then.

Jackelyn smirked. She could basically smell the fear coming off of Jade. "Fine. But you can trust I'll be back." She said before trying to walk away. But Azriel grabbed her arm and turned to face her.
"No. You won't be back. Because if you do. I won't hesitate to kill you. Stay away from Jade." He said the words so quick and fast so that Jade wouldn't have to hear them.
Jackelyn scowled but pulled away and was gone.
Azriel turned to face Jade. "She didn't hurt you did she?" He asked her. He would probably have second thoughts about letting Jackelyn go if Jade was hurt.

Jade shook her head. "No," she said, a bit breathlessly, panting. "No," she said again, correcting her voice now. "She didn't hurt me. Just scared me..." she murmered.

Azriel nodded. "I've got to be more careful. Jackelyn is too stubborn." He muttered walking closer to Jade. "Sorry about my eye color. It should change to gold in a few months." He explained warily. Right now he was just relieved he had made it here before Jackelyn had done any thing. But now that he was with the Cullen's and learning how to control better Jade's scent wasn't killing him like usual. It also helped that he had eaten before he had come. He wanted to make sure he was controlled around her. No mistakes.

Jade nodded. "Your eyes are red. How are they going to change to gold...?" She asked curiously, starting to calm down a bit, though she was still trembling from Jackelyn's almost-attack.

"Well..." Azriel didn't want to scare her but he was unsure how to explain it. "When a vampire drinks animal blood their eyes are gold. Then when they first become a vampire or drink human blood their eyes are red." He explained best he could. "But I'm going with animal blood now..." He muttered looking away.

Jade nodded. Blood drinking was a slightly scary subject to think about. But she was glad he was choosing animal blood. "I see. Well, what do you want to do right now? To get our minds off of what had just happened, that is."

Azriel glanced up at the sky. It looked like the clouds would fade soon. "You know all those legends about vampire catching fire in the sun? Well those are fake. But we still can't walk in public when the sun is out. I can show yo why if you want." That would certanly get her mind off of Jackelyn.

"Okay," Jade said almost eagerly. She was curious. What would happen? Shafts of sunlight were beginning to shine everywhere through the clouds. It looked almost magical. She wondered what would happen now.

"First lets find a better place." Azriel said. He glanced around stopping his idea of taking her hand. Then he started into the forest area walking a little ways before coming to a clearing. He didn't want to do something wrong and the Volturi be aware. So he had decided it would be better to do it where other people wouldn't come, but he was still close to the street. He wanted to be wary and careful of how he acted and behaved. He glanced back to see if Jade had followed.

Jade had followed. Though she could be clumsy at times, she was oddly very good at walking around in the forest. So she'd managed to keep up. "Show me," she said eagerly to Azriel, grinning.
