((Slightly random title. xD))
Maliki wasn't in such a good mood today. Apparently there was a nomad vampire around that had escaped him around ten times. It was getting annoying and the vampire was obviously a human blood sucker. One the Maliki didn't want around the shelter. Any where near the shelter. The thing had disappeared again so he had simply come back to the shelter. Slightly worried that Nadia was not here.
((I figured she could be walking back or something and the vampire comes out and attacks her as Maliki catches up with them or something. xP Just an idea sort of thing.))

Nadia walked over to him. She'd spent most of her time in her room with her sister, Aidan, who was now napping peacefully.
Nadia wanted to spend some time with Maliki, though. "Hi, Maliki," she said quietly.

"Yeah. I was watching that little TV in our room. On the news, they said Dad's in jail," Nadia said. "Aidan and I feel a lot better to be safe from him now."

Maliki nodded. "Yes, it's good that you don't have to worry about him." He said. Although in a way it would have been nice to not have had to deal with an abusive parent in the first place. The fact that the two girls had to go through that was bothersome.

Nadia nodded, smiling at him. "Yeah. I like it here. I sure hope Aidan and I never have to leave. I'd be so sad. I'd miss you so much."

"You two are just about identical." Maliki said simply. Imagine if he told her that he had imprinted on her. Well he would have to sooner or later. Just not now. Since he didn't want to end up freaking her out. "So your both cute." He finalized with a slight smile.

Nadia had left the shelter to go for a walk. She was humming to herself, grinning. It really was nice this afternoon. Very pretty out. Her gold curls bounced as she walked, she was wearing an old tank-top that she'd brought with her from the house, and denim shorts. She was walking barefoot. She was walking on the sidewalk, just a ways from the house. There wasn't really anyone around, so she was dancing, and twirling as she walked. It was fun.
"Ouch..." she muttered when she scraped her toe against the concrete. She'd broken the skin and it was bleeding a bit. She continued to walk, ignoring the pain. Really, it didn't hurt that much anyway. Just a little scrape. She tried walking with her eyes closed, taking slow steps so she didn't fall. She gasped when she ran into something hard and cold, and opened her eyes to see a man with crimson eyes looking down at her. She took a few steps back.
"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Nadia apologized.
"You know, little girls shouldn't be walking around the city alone," the man said in a cold voice.
Nadia stepped back further. "Oh. Well, then, I'll just get back to my home..." she murmered, frightened a bit now.
The man stepped forward and took a hold of her wrist and pulled her very close to him. Nadia tried to break away, but his hold was like steel. He took hold of her other wrist, and then held onto both of her wrists in one hand, pinning her arms against her back.
Nadia screamed, hoping someone would hear, and started kicking the man and trying to pull away.
The man held onto her tightly, and wrapped his free arm around her to keep her from trying to struggle. He bent down until he was at her level, and whispered in her ear, "Your blood smells delicious."
Nadia's eyes widened. She tried to pull away again, but couldn't. She could feel the man's breath on her neck, now. And then she felt first his lips brush her neck, and then felt the tips of his teeth resting against her skin.
Nadia screamed again, hoping someone, maybe even Maliki, would hear her.
The man pulled away just enough that he could speak. "Nobody's coming for you. Quit screaming."

Maliki had decided to take a sort of walk/run as a wolf. He liked to be in his wolf form. Since he didn't belong to a pack he didn't have to worry about his thoughts getting away from him. His ears pricked as he heard the scream. It sounded like Nadia. He lifted his maw to the air to check the scents. With a growl he realized that there was a vampire mixed with Nadia's scent... And her blood.
Freaking a bit he turned and bolted off toward the scents and to where he had heard the scream coming from. He stopped at the edge of the forest before turning and running out onto the pavement. His pelt was bristling as he growled and came up on the vampire. The shape-shifter slipped around and attacked from the side avoiding Nadia so that he didn't hurt her. He knocked the vampire away using his weight mostly. But if he could talk in this form he probably would have been calling that vampire every bad word he could think of. But for now he put himself in between Nadia and the vampire. His pelt was still bristling and he had his head lowered slight and was growling. If any normal human saw him they would most likely run the other way.

As soon as Maliki had knocked the vampire away from her, Nadia stumbled forward, away from the two. She turned to see Maliki and the vampire.
The vampire let out a sort of angry snarl, and crouched down in a way that made it look like he was going to lunge at Maliki.
