Shade smiled again.
"Yeah, that's what Tadao says too." She said. "Ussually I leave earlier, but atleast it's still cool out." She said to Kyo. She watched Kyo hold her child. He was actually doing pretty good, for a person who had never held a baby before. At least Lee was crying.
"This may sound selfish, but I'm kinda glad that he looks like me and not..." She trailed off. Kyo would get what she meant. He was there when it happened, after all. She ran her hand through her strait black hair and it fell back into place.

"Me too," Kyo agreed. He looked ahead, and grimaced. Was that who he thought? Yep. Agh, not again. He looked around now, as if looking for some other way he could take with Shade, so he wouldn't have to confront his father again.
Of course, the man had already seen his son, and was striding almost purposefully toward him, fury radiating off of him.
"Monster," the man said, as if this was Kyo's name. The saddest part was that Kyo answered to it, not looking the man in the eye.
"What?"
Kyo could tell that his father was drunk. Not like, beyond thinking, but close. He handed Lee back over to Shade.
"You think that you have the right to be a father?" Kyo's father asked in angry shock.
"Ah, wait, no--"
"Is she the mother? You don't have the right to love, either, murderer!" Obviously, he didn't remember Shade from last time.
"Yeah, she's the mother, but I'm not--"
Kyo's father cut in again, voice furious, not giving his son a chance to explain that he wasn't the father.

Shade made a disgusted face. Ugh, she could smell the beer on his breath. She hated the smell of that horrid liquid because her uncle would frequently come home drunk then beat her. Not very good memories.
She waited for Kyo's father to stop ranting.
"Sohma-san, I am the mother." She said. She was tryind to be respectful and not just cuss him off. "But Kyo is not the father." She held in a shudder. Having a kid with Kyo, Gross! She grimaced and forced the disturbing images out of her head. She seriously prayed that Kyo's father would not think that the two were lying.
"And Kyo is not a murderer, or a monster." She almost snarled at the man, but managed, with some difficulty, to keep her voice at a civilized tone.

"If he's not the father, who is?" Kyo's father challenged.
Kyo would rather not mention that Shade had been raped. The very word just sounded too horrible to say.
"We don't know the biological father," he said in a sort of angry tone, more angry right now at that past memory than at his own father right now. "Her boyfriend's taking the role of being a father."

Shade wondered if what Kyo has said would just make his father think even more that the two were lying to him, or if he would think bad things about Shade. She shuffled a bit closer to Kyo, holding back a very icy glare.
"Yes, my boyfriend is taking the place of the father." She said to the man. She hated using the word 'father' to describe the man who rapped her, but it was true, and since Kyo acted as if he didn't want to tell his father that detail, she did not say it. And there was really no other way to decribe him, she would just have to say 'father'.

"Well then, why should a monster be in the presence of a mother and child?" Kyo's father asked coldly. "Especially when the monster can cause death?"
The man knew the words stung, and that's exactly what he'd been aiming for, as he watched the slightest grimace on Kyo's face.
"Shut up," was the orange-haired boy's only reply.

"It wasn't Kyo's fault! He's not a monster!" Snapped Shade, her temper starting to slip away. She let the beginings of a glare show on her face. "He is not a murderer, and he does not cause death." Shade said to the man, holding her child closer to her and taking yet another step towards Kyo, probably just to et on his father's nerve.

"Shade's not stupid!" Kyo snapped.

Shade flushed with anger, her cheeks turning pink.
And she lost it.
"Maybe if you weren't so drunk all the time, you would find out that your son isn't a monster. I honestly think that you're the monster." She snapped at him, her glare turning darker.

Secretly, Kyo wanted to hit his father, bash the man's face in, but he held back, looking down.

((Daichi? Hitoshi? Ooooh, Kou, it sounds/looks kinda like Kyo so maybe Kyo could have been named after him. XD))
"You're pushing blame on Kyo! It's not right, it's not his fault!" Shade shot back, her tone matching Kyo's father. "You don't know your own son!" She hissed. This man probably hated Kyo the minute he was born. She felt sorry for Kyo, he had to live with this horrid... thing until he moved in with Kazuma? She narrowed her eyes at the man.
"I hate people like you." She said in an angry hiss that was quieter then her tone before.
((I had an idea, would Kyo's dad be one to slap Shade? Then Kyo could punch his dad. XDD Just a thought. I'm having fun with this. XD))

"The d**n thing killed its mother!" Daichi snapped at Shade. In his anger, he wasn't quite thinking, and slapped her across the face.
Kyo's fists clenched. He wasn't thinking either when he puched his father square in the jaw, sending the man flying back a few feet before landing on his back on the ground.
"Don't do that!" He snapped.
Daichi just stared at his son with a fairly shocked expression.

Shade's head snapped to one side, and she felt the burning sting on her cheek. She had held onto Lee tighter half-way through the slap so she wouldn't accidentally drop him. Although she wasn't too much surprised. Maybe she even deserved it.
But she was surprised when Kyo hit his father.
Shade rushed to him the best she could and held onto his arm. Half-way wanting to prevent him from beating his father to death. The other part was because his arm also doubled as her personal stress-ball.
"Thanks..." She murmured to him, staring at his father. "But it's not worth it." She said, her voice still a murmur as she spoke to Kyo.

"I wasn't gonna do more," Kyo promised. "I know he's not worth it. Just can't believe he did that..." He shook his head. "You hadn't even deserved it."
"You want to kill me, don't you? I'd bet if she weren't holidng you back, you would," Daichi said, eyes wide. He stood up. "You were going to kill me!"

Shade blinked. Where'd the h*** had he come up with that!? She almost laughed, but this was no laughing matter.
"Kill you? Maybe mess up your face but now kill you." Shade said, still defending Kyo. The hot pain of the slap was starting to slowly fade from her face, but there was still a large red mark across it.

Kyo was shocked that his father would think that.
"He killed his mother! He'll kill me!" Then Daichi's gaze flashed to Kyo's. "You deserve to be looked up in that room! You're lucky Akito's giving you freedom until you graduate!"
((I don't think Shade knows about Kyo being confined.))

Kyo was looking down again. "I'll tell ya later," he said.
"Ha! You didn't even tell her? Don't you think she would have felt hurt that you didn't tell her what was destined to happen?" Kyo's father said tauntingly.

Shade wanted to tell Kyo to look up, but it was just mainly her instincts wanting Kyo to be more dominant. So she didn't tell him.
"He doesn't have to tell me anything he doesn't want too. It's his own choice." Shade snapped, although she never looked the man in the eye, either...
She squeezed Kyo's arm a bit tighter, but the loosened her grip, not wanting to hurt him.

Daichi rolled his eyes at the girl now. He looked at Kyo almost smugly, but also with a look that one would give a piece of gum on the sidewalk, then turned and walked away.
"D**n." Kyo muttered. "B*****d can go to hell," he said angrily. "He just had to bring that up, didn't he?"
