The maid left when she was dismissed, closing the door behind her.
Akito took the food and drink but didn't even attempt to eat it. Egg-flower soup... hot tea... She'd eaten this when she'd met Devon the first time. And right now, the egg-flower soup smelled /highly/ unappetizing. Probably because of the pregnancy. She had begun vomiting a few days ago... so... The tea smelled all right, but she didn't feel like eating or drinking anything right now.

"Eat." Demanded Kaiser, sitting across from her. "You need the nurishment."

Akito reluctantly obeyed, taking a tiny sip of the broth from the bowl.
"It tastes terrible," she muttered. This was one of the things that sucked about being pregnant. Some foods that you used to eat all the time, and liked, tasted disgusting.

"Eat it anyways." Kaiser told her, still watching her and waited for her to eat.

Akito ate it unwillingly. When the broth was gone, she picked at the solid parts of the soup with chopsticks, finally eating the egg and the noodles and anything else that was in there that Akito didn't bother to register because who cared? It still tasted disgusting. She then sipped at her tea. At least it still tasted fine...

Kaiser continued to watch her. "There. Better. You are listening." He told Akito.

Right now, Akito couldn't bring herself to hate herself for giving in like this. She was mad, yes, but for some reason it was impossible to show it. He'd broken her, and she almost barely felt many emotions at all right now except fear, and the want for him to go away and never get near her again. When she was finished, she merely dropped the dishes onto the floor. She didn't seem to notice as little shards of the china dishes went flying everywhere. She didn't know what else to do with them.
Well, maybe she was on the verge of insanity. If she was, she hadn't realized it.

Kaiser raised an eyebrow, and just stood up. "Get a maid to clean it up." He told her.

"A maid will come. I don't need to go get one," Akito replied, almost emotionlessly. Her voice was quiet.
As she'd predicted, a maid had heard the shattering glass and had entered, looking a little fearful. When she saw neither Akito or Kaiser were injured, and Akito looked fairly calm, she bowed to them.
"I will clean up the glass," she offered.
Akito simply nodded, stepping over the glass, away from the area. She suddenly just wanted to go to sleep. Maybe when she woke up, Kaiser would be gone, and she'd be alone. Being alone had never sounded better.

Kaiser simply watched, then thanked the maid. He looked over at Akito. "You look tired." He commented.

The maid simply left when she was finished cleaning the shards of glass. It had probably just been an accident, considering neither looked as if they'd been hit with a glass object.
"I am," Akito replied simply. "I want to sleep. I'd like to be alone for a while, too..." Her voice sounded so distant to her, and her eyes weren't quite focusing on anything.

"Okay. I will go and visit the rest of the family." Kaiser said to Akito.

((She goes to sleep and Devon manages to get a chance to come in?))
Akito sighed, relieved that he'd at least give her that much. She headed to her actual bedroom, as they were currently in the room where she usually just sat, ate, and read.
She went to sleep almost immediately. That is, after she was sure Kaiser was gone.

Kaiser left to go walk around, not really interested in talking to any of the humans. He was gone for about five minutes when the door opened.
The blonde vampire stepped in, only able to know when Kaiser was gone because Rhea would be able to tell him before he left. He walked silently through the house, and called out in a soft voice that was entirely his own, "Akito? Akito, are you here?" He asked.

Akito's eye lids fluttered open almost immediately after he spoke. She was frightened to call him, though. Kaiser would get angry.
Oh, but she wanted to be with Devon. But she didn't want to get hurt again. In the end, she decided seeing Devon was worth it.
"I-I'm in here," she called from her room. She hated how fear actually entered her voice, but she didn't bother to stop herself. She was still tired, but wasn't going to stay asleep if Devon was here.

Devon entered and smiled at her softly. "Oh, Akito." He said softly. He walked over to Akito and pulled her into a hug, rubbing her back. He had missed her. He wanted to be with her. He could feel the small bump of her baby between them. He corrected himself. Our baby. He then noticed the bruises that decrorated her face. He stroked her face with one finger. "Did he do this?" He asked, growing angry.

Akito nodded, then hid her face in his chest. She felt one side of the kimono slip off her shoulder, revealing bruises from when he'd gripped her and shook her. She pulled it back up.
"He hurt me, then he was kind, then he got mad and hurt me... then I obeyed and he was kind and I don't want him to hurt me again... and he says he'll kill the baby if I don't let him claim it as his..."
She was babbling, voice muffled, and she didn't care. Her sentences all merged together as she started crying, and her shoulders shuddered.

Devon held onto her tigher, rocking her gently. "That ba*****." Devon snarled, gently running his hand through her hair. He pulled away and held her face. "You should leave with me." He said, looking into her deep teal eyes. Not only were they like a stormy ocean, they were like a dusk sky. Dark and teal. He gently kissed on the cheek before pulling away and looking at her again.

Akito laid her forehead--which had a small bump on it from getting slammed into the wall forehead-first--against his chest, looking defeated.
"We can't... I've already told you that," she whispered.
But maybe... maybe they could. A small part of her mind said, Why not? You might just get beat to death if you stay. And if you aren't, you'll be unhappy for the rest of your life, married to that b*****d.
((Hmm... I think I might actually have her accept the offer this time. XD They'd go... to the Cullen's house? Or somewhere else? Hmm. XD))

((He could take her to Greece. x3))
"He can't catch us if we leave." Devon whispered to her, still gently holding her face. "We could leave the country, go somewhere else." He said to her softly.
