So it was a curse in a way that they had no choice when they changed. She gave a slight wolf-ish smirk at this. The clothes looked like they would fit. She wasn't that big. Picking up the clothes she glanced around trees or bushes? Great choices. And disappearing behind some bushes or a tree seemed oddly corny. But she chose to slip back into the bushes to shift and change. Years of secrecy had allowed her to still be a little wary of shifting in front of anyone.
Once done she sat there for a moment. If there was a dog, a cow or ox, and a rabbit... What were they? They were cursed... And the magic was fairly strong. Plus she was attracted to the dog for no particular reason. Well she was clueless.
"Okay, you know I'm a walker. What exactly are you?" She asked coming out of the bushes and standing there watching them. Adalina could just barely pick up the animal scents on the humans.

"Walker?" Momiji said. "I was thinkin' werewolf... err, werecoyote," he said with a laugh.
"Cursed juunishi," Shigure answered the question. "As in, Rat, Ox, Tiger, etcetra (sp?). Wanna see?"

"Nothing like a Werewolf. Weres have to change on the full moon, travel in packs, and changing is painful... Plus, Walker's are born not made." Adalina explained shortly.
"So your cursed shifters? I'm guessing you don't shift on the full moon or just change like I do." She added speaking mostly to Shigure but it would be hard to tell.

"We have to hug someone of the opposite sex," Hatsuharu said.
"Yeah, that or we transform when we get really, really stressed out or weak," Momiji added.
"Watch," Shigure said with a smirk, embracing Adalina. A poof of thin smoke that drifted away, and there sat a dog, probably about the same size as Adalina in Coyote form. Maybe a teensy bit bigger, but it's not like he was huge. "Tada!" He said.
"We can talk in our animal forms," Momiji said.

Ack, hugging. To close! She thought. But that was before he changed.
"And they said animals can't speak up for themselves. Whoever said that should check out my old neighbors dogs. They were loud." Adalina commented. "But I'm totally coyote in my other nature. Even my personality tends to change." She said then glanced back at the house. How she wished she had a home like that. But right now she thought she had heard someone in the quiet. She wondered if they had maids here.
"This isn't where you live is it... Shigure? You smell of a different area." She asked and commented looking down at the dog.

Shigure barked a laugh. "I was kicked out. I made 'Master Akito' angry. I live out in the forest, currently."
"With my first love," Hatsuharu said. His voice was still unbelievably flat. He meant it to be funny. Which it was, of course.
"You know, if Yuki were here, he'd send you flying about now," Momiji said with a laugh. "He hates it when you talk about him like that."
Haru just smirked a bit.
"Anyway, no, I don't live here," Shigure said, concluding his thought.

Adalina tilted her head. "So 'Akito' is like the packmaster?" Realizing she was talking to mostly human people she reworded her sentence. "Or... Like... Well, I don't really know a better word for a leader..." She expected to be laughed at by one of them. Which was actually good for her. At least she knew what to expect. She didn't like surprises.
((Poor Ada. On MTB her parents sold her. On here her parents are divorced and both just... Not good parents at all. So she's run off and is more coyote than anything. And she's quite wild. XD Plus she has never been to real school on either site. XD))

Momiji giggled a little, but he wasn't exactly laughing at her. He just though her word usage was a bit funny. "Another good word for leader is the family head. That's what Akito is."
"Yes. A bad one at that," Hatsuharu simply agreed with Adalina when she mentioned the 'Packmaster'. Of course, his voice was even quieter than before as he said this.
There was a pause, and then an unexpected voice broke the silence.
"I am a bad head of house, hmm?" The voice was cold, sharp, but at the same time, decievingly soft. A calm purr. "Is there anything else you wanted to say about me? To my face?"
Before anyone could reply, Akito turned her eyes on Shigure.
"Well, hello, Akito-sama," he said politely, but also playfully, in a way, bowing as well as a dog can.
"Shigure, why on earth are you in your dog form?"
"Hmm, accident," Shigure replied simply. A lie, but it seemed to satisfy Akito for the moment. She turned to Adalina now.
"What are you doing here? You're aware that this is trespassing, don't you?." Akito didn't sound rude when she said this. More as if she were informing the girl.
"Akito-san--" Momiji was cut off. He saw right through Akito's act. He hated it when Akito got like this. Because when Akito acted like this, 'he' was at his very angriest.
"Momiji, let the girl speak for herself."

"Ah, yes. Onto your territory..." Adalina gave a slightly awkward bow. Coyotes didn't bow but she wasn't sure if getting on her knees would help anything. And she couldn't exactly flatten her ears or or put her tail between her legs. But she tried to act as non-threatening as possible. She kept her eyes averted to the ground so that it wouldn't seem she was challenging the 'head of house'. But she wasn't sure how to explain she had smelled the vampire, Were, and another magic scent. So many preternatural creatures in one area had her curious.
"You see..." If this was the pack... Head of house was the leader surely he... Adalina paused sniffed but not to where it would be noticed. It was a bit confusing she couldn't decide if the person Akito was male or female. She decided to go with male for now. That's what Akito looked like at least. She shuddered slightly involuntary and hoped Akito's movements and such didn't mean what Adalina thought they meant. "I'm a... Shifter would be more so what you would call it. I was in my other nature and walked in here, since I caught the scent of... Magic. Like animals and human mixed with the magic... I just thought they were shifters... Er, like me. Except I don't change when hugged by... A guy. I can change at will..." She had trailed off a lot and was trying to speak little.

Akito actually looked a bit surprised. "Another type of creature...? Unless you're a werewolf...?"
"She turns into a Coyote. The people we call werewolves, Akito-san, are shapeshifters too. You know, Crystal?"
Akito glowered at Shigure, before turning back to the girl. "Curiosity does not give you permission to trespass. Surely you knew that this is private property."

"Er... Yes...?" Adalina knew she didn't sound very sure of herself. Every place seemed to be 'private property'. As in taken territory. Like with the Were's and wolves. Coyotes looked in between the lines and didn't always notice the boundaries. At least, that's how Adalina was. Now she felt like she was under the glare of her father. She fidgeted slightly. If she was taken to the cops they would find her mother or father and she would have to go live with them again. And getting away a third time would be hard. The first hadn't lasted long so her parents had overlooked it. While this was the second time and had lasted several months.
"I'll leave for sure just please don't call the cops, they'll send me home. And I really don't want to go home." She said biting her lip and looking down lower. Her instincts that were normally better kept wanted her to pretty much sink to the ground and crawl away under the glare. She wasn't like this around women though. With men she was pretty much passive and slunk around them. With women she felt she was on the same grounds and was quite snappy around them. Even so, if Akito had been female, scratch that if Adalina had known for sure what gender Akito was it still would have had authority over Adalina. Since Akito was a leader... Adalina wasn't exactly afraid of Akito but her instincts told her she probably should be.

Adalina was uncertain about whether she should go or just turn into a coyote and leave. That would be a site for the Packmaster-er Head of House. Still, Shigure seemed nice. Which wasn't something she had expected of any creature with a semi-human nature. She nodded slightly. Thinking for a moment she decided Akito was a girl. Since she seemed to be very territorial, and it didn't seem that it was completely aimed at the territory. So I guess one of these guys is her mate... She concluded to herself. And the head of house acts like a boy so that the lesser ones don't think that she is weak because of her gender. Makes sense... She added to herself.
"Okay..." Adalina said giving one of her awkward bows. "And thank you for not calling the police or attacking me because I was on your territory, Akito-san." She added before glancing around to locate the door.

Momiji laughed at what Adalina had said to Akito. It was funny! Hatsuharu smirked.
"Yes yes, thank you for not attacking her, unlike you did me. And I'm family, too!" Shigure said dramatically.
"Shut up, mutt. Just get the trespasser away from here." Akito was surprised by the 'thanks for not attacking me' thing. Of course, that didn't show.
"Come, come, miss. Let's leave before Akito gets mad." He led her out of earshot of Akito and the others, and out of the Sohma gardens. "In case you're offended, it's nothing personal, about the way Akito acts around you. That's how he is to outsiders... and girls. He really hates girls." Shigure smirked, a knowing look on his face. One that would make many curious.

"Well most pack leaders are like that to females. I didn't know girls... Wait did you say he? Oh... I guess I was wrong... But it made sense that Akito was a girl and dressed as a guy so that she would receive less trouble with the people in... The house. The family or whatever you human's say. Because female Alpha's are not something you see... At least I haven't..." Adalina was talking mostly to herself but Shigure would easily be able to hear.
"But nothing personal at all. I've gotten out of worse. Er... Or in worse condition..." She added more so to Shigure.

Shigure nodded. "You're a clever girl... what did you say your name was?" She hadn't introduced herself. When he said she was clever, he was hinting that she was right about Akito being a girl.

"Cruel things, parents are, hm? I've never had cruel parents myself, but plenty of people in my family, including the head of house '"himself" have them." Shigure even put air quotes around 'himself'. Really, if someone figured it out, why keep them in the dark?

Adalina nodded slightly. It was interesting that she had figured out Akito's secret. Two of that families secrets... Knowing to much can be bad. It can get you killed at times. But she was pretty sure that the Sohma family didn't kill people that found out things.
"I hate my parents... And a lot of the people they have come around the house. They're all the same. That's why I don't really like people... Or creatures with a partially human nature. You can't read them like wolves and such. Their reactions..." She said trailing off thinking about something else.
"What happens to people that find out about you all being shifters? I mean... You can't keep everyone from finding out. Especially when you shift so easily..." She asked changing the subject.

"My friend, Hatori, is in our family too. Cursed, like us. He has this added power, though. He can erase memories, just like his father before him. So, Akito has him erase memories when people find out," Shigure explained simply.
