Akito nodded, staying silent.
"Can you remember what it was like?" She asked suddenly, a sort of longing in her voice that she hadn't shown before talking to anybody when she spoke about a mother. "What was it like to have a mother that loved you?"

"My mother died giving birth to me, I never met her." Rhea said with slightly sad smile. "Besides, I don't think I would be able to remember her even if I did live with her. I hardly remember any of my human life besides my vision of you and Devon's torture." She explained.

Akito nodded. She thought of Esme for a moment. She didn't know the woman well, and wasn't sure if she trusted her, but she could practically feel the maternal instinct radiating off of her. Maybe that was what a mother was like.
"That's unfortunate," Akito stated. "So, why is it that you are here so early?" She asked. As they spoke, the sun was only just visible over the horizon.

"Constantly," Akito replied simply, coughing a bit more loudly this time, hard enough that her frail shoulders shook. The coughing sounded a almost painful, but it didn't last for very long.
((I should have Akito's lung collapse in this thread! XD))

Akito sighed. "I'm sickly. The curse is going to kill me," she explained quietly. Then she shook her head at Devon's comment. She coughed some more, even more violently. She doubled over, almost as if in pain, and clutched her chest. It was obvious she was suddenly unable to breathe. She reached for Devon and clung to his arm to keep herself from becoming unconscious.

Devon picked Akito up, looking very worried. Rhea's eyes wided.
"She's having trouble breathing!" Rhea exclaimed.
"Yeah, I see that." Devon almost snapped at her. Rhea understood that he was suddenly under a lot of pressure, though.
"Is there a doctor near by?" She asked urgently.
"Hatori's gone... Tadao... we could go to Tadao." Devon said, his wrods slightly rushed, before almost running to Tadao's house on the outside.

((Shadie could be with Tadao at the house, just for fun. She can see one of the people she hates most. XDDD *pokes Aki* Then she could see that Akito is running outa life FAST. LoL))
Tadao was just coming outside, and was surprised when he saw Devon, holding Akito who was obviously barely able to breathe. He'd only just finished studying about collapsed lungs, and how to fix that, so it was all fresh in his memory. He wondered if that was what it was.
"Come in," he said quickly, but simply, heading away from the doorway and to his office. It already had everything he'd need. Which was good.

Shade had been out with Tadao, when she saw Akito. She couldn't help but glare slightly at the woman, but then she felt something inside of her.
Numbers... spinning around... changing... counting down...
"Tadao!" Shade said in a hushed voice. "She's going to die!"

"I won't let that happen," Tadao said, determined. "l won't fail." Even as he said this, he looked horrified. He'd only practiced on a dummy a few times? What if he failed? And what if it wasn't that her lung had collapsed? What if it was something completely different? He took longer strides, and started getting what he needed. When Devon came in with Akito, Tadao ordered, "Set her down over there."

Devon nodded quickly and sat her down gently.
"Your running out of time, Tadao." Shade told him ugently, not meaning to pressure him.
Rhea had followed sliently. "Will... he... be okay?" Rhea asked softly.
"Of course, Rhea." Devon answered quickly.

Tadao bit his lip, and didn't reply to Shade. He had been about to snap at her. Pressure wouldn't make things easier. He hastily ran some small tests. Yep, lung had collapsed.
"Akito's lung collapsed. I need to do an operation. There will be blood," he stated, the last sentence directed only at Devon. Just in case.
Akito was just laying on the bed, struggling to get a nice long breath in. It was difficult though.

Devon was about to leave, but Rhea spoke up.
"It's fine. Devon can handle it." Rhea said. Both Shade and Devon turned to look at the girl. To Shade, it appeared as if she had just appeared out of thin air. She had heard Rhea's comment earlier. Who was this girl.
Devon listened to his little sister, and stayed.

Tadao got what he needed as quickly as he could. "How much time?" He asked Shade, as he hooked up a heart moniter and got the instruments he'd need to perform the surgery.

Tadao gritted his teeth. He gave Akito some medicine to make her sleep for a bit, then started working over her. I shall not go into detail about what happened. Don't wanna scare the kiddies.
Tadao was just... err... sewing Akito up (That sounds weird. XD), when the level beeping from the heart monitor sped up, beeps uneven, panicked, unorderly. Tadao worked more quickly, but still carefully, but he had a good idea of what was coming next.
Beeeeeeeeeeep
Tadao's lips were a thin line. He didn't look up, but his shoulders slumped a bit, as if he felt defeated.
"She's gone," he whispered.
((Feel free to have Devon do something like shove Tadao against the wall. XD Shade can get maaaaaad. LoL))
