"I attacked a priest, and I was sentenced to be stoned to death... while they were dragging me to a cliff to push me off of, that's when Rhea came to see me. After she left, they threw me off of the cliff..." Devon paused, the next part had been the part he remembered the most. It had been the most painful. "I survived that, so they nailed me down to the ground... then threw rocks down out me." Devon breifly explained, but it didn't sound nearly as painful and horrifying as it really was. "I was still alive, but they didn't know it, so they left me nailed to the bottom of the cliff. I had no chance of living for long... so Rhea brought a vampire to change me." He told Akito.
Rhea grimaced. "There was nothing I could do, even with my high position in society, I was a female, and had no real power over anybody. The only way to save Devon was to change him. Before he was changed, I told him my vision of you." She explained to Akito.

Akito winced. That made what she was going through sound pretty nice, compared to that. "Why on earth did you attack a priest?" She asked Devon. She looked horrified at what had happened to him.

"He wanted to take Rhea away from us." Devon said.
"The priest approached us, wanting to make me the next oracle of Athens." Rhea explained.

Akito simply nodded, unsure of what to say at first.
Finally, she said, "Why did you have a vision about me?" She looked over at Rhea.

Rhea shrugged. "I don't know... I just came to me one day. I got the feeling I should tell Devon." Rhea told Akito, gently reaching up and touching a leaf next to her, disturbing the dew drops on the leave, causing them to roll down the leaf and onto her fingers. She liftend her hand from the leaf and then turned her attention her back to Akito.
Now Rhea asked a question. "Do you trust me now, Akito? Earlier you showed distrust when I approached you." Rhea said, tilting her head slightly.

"Depends. If Devon's this close to you, I might. But if you're anything like that Hera woman, trust from me is not likely," Akito replied.

Rhea thought about the name 'Hera' for a moment, then laughed.
"Hera? Devon's wife? She's insane!" Rhea said, laughing again. Devon blinked, did Rhea always think this... ?

"Yes," Akito agreed, rubbing her wrists. There were still bruises. She winced at touching them.

Rhea looked over at her. "Did Hera hurt you?" She asked, looking at the bruises Akito had just touched, then back up at Akito's face. She was around the same height as Akito, so she couild look her strait in the eye.

"Yes," Akito admitted. "Devon met a vampire, that could make vampires human for a limited time. He did that for Devon. Then we met Hera, and later, she threatened that if I didn't tell Devon that I didn't want him anymore, she'd kill him," she murmered.

"Did he pick her, or was the marriage arranged?" Akito asked Rhea, almost as if Devon weren't there. This girl might be the first one she trusted aside from Alice. And she didn't even fully trust Alice... dressing her up all the time. Ugh.

"It was arranged." Rhea told Akito, also acting as if Devon wasn't there. "I didn't like her very much, she was always telling me I wasn't acting 'like a proper lady'." Rhea snorted then laughed.

"Surprised she never said that to me," Akito commented. She herself obviously didn't act like a 'proper lady'. He**, she didn't act like a girl at all, except for around Devon.

Akito sighed. Of course the conversation would turn to that. She searched for an explanation. "Because I am... not allowed," she said simply.

Devon grimaced slightly, any conversation about Ren, when undoubtingly turn bitter.
Rhea blinked. "Wow." Was all that she managed to say.
