Hera sighed. "Devon's always been to kind to really admitt what he's feeling. You wouldn't want to hurt you."
"Hera... please stop." Devon requested softly, almost child like in a way. He honestly didn't want Akito to get any ideas that he might not really love her...

[Akkii]

"Shut up!" Akito snarled. "I swear, if you were human..." she trailed off, not finishing the threat.

[Platinum]

"If I were human what? Akito?" She said, placing her hands on her hips.

[Akkii]

"I'd kill you. I swear, I'd kill you," Akito finished angrily. She was so mad that tears were actually touching her eyes, which made her madder.

[Platinum]

Hera raised an eyebrow. "You honestly don't look like you could hurt anyone, Akito."
"Hera... stop." Devon said, grabbing her should and pulling her away from Akito.

[Akkii]

"I may not be able to hurt a vampire but I can easily hurt a human," Akito replied. It seemed as though there were flames in her dark eyes. Her nails were digging into her palms, but she reminded herself to stop. She didn't want to draw blood and make this vampire lose control.

Akito suddenly changed the subject. "Hera, I'd bet that Devon never loved you. You're cruel and heartless. And besides, marriages were arranged at that time, weren't they? He's even told me himself that I'm far better than you. He said it today." Her tone was icy and smooth, her eyes somehow both chips of ice and lit with an angry fire.

Hera glared over at Devon. Devon almost winced away from her icy glare. Hera then, looked back over at Akito.
"He said that he loved me." She protested.

[Akkii]

Akito bit her lip. "So? I'd bet he doesn't anymore," she said. But she was quieter. Hera was breaking her.

[Platinum]

"Have you asked him?" She asked.
"Hera... please leave now." Devon said to the vampire. Hera turned to face him, disbelieve written on his face.

[Akkii]

"I don't need to ask him," Akito replied, but her voice sounded almost choked now. "I know."

[Platinum]

"Do you just assume these things, Akito?" Hera asked, her voice almost cold.

[Akkii]

"No..." Akito said. Tears were in her eyes, like they'd been earlier. But this time it wasn't only out of anger. "I know," she said, almost meekly. "I know he loves me more than you."

[Platinum]

"No, you don't because you've never asked him." Hera said with a smirk.
"Hera!" Devon snapped. He had enough of this. "Stop it!" He demanded.

[Akkii]

Now Akito had whirled around so her back faced Hera to hide the fact she was, to her horror, crying. But her shoulders were shuddering violently, which gave her away.

"I love Akito!" He told Hera. There was another ook of shock and disbelieve on her face.

[Akkii]

Akito was glad Devon had said this, but she was still crying. She managed to compose herself after about thirty more seconds of her crying. She faced Hera again. "I told you so," she hissed at the woman, inching closer to Devon so her arm brushed his.

Hera glared at the both of them. She glared once more at devon before spinning around, and leaving.

Devon felt bad for rejecting Hera just like that. But he pulled Akito into a hug.

[Akkii]

"Y-you didn't really love her, right...?" Akito ask. "Or, if you did, you don't... not now...? She's exactly like Ren," she whimpered, burying her face in his shirt.

[Platinum]

He pulled her closer, his arms around her waist.
"Of course not, Akito.. I love you." He murmured into her ear, before giving her a small kiss on the cheek.
"I will always love you." He said.

Akito nodded. Tears brimmed in her eyes again. It wasn't like she didn't believe Devon, it was just because of what had just happened. She blinked them away, but not quickly enough for another tear to roll down her cheek. "I hope she never comes back," she said.
