Akito nodded. "The Hail Mary is one of the main prayers in the rosary, right? And then Our Father after every ten Hail Mary's..." She said, trying to remember what she'd read out of the book.

"Sometimes Kureno asks about what I'm reading. He seems to get really interested when I tell him about Jesus Christ. A bit sad too..." Akito murmered.
((In some ways she's like Jesus... I mean, nowhere near as important... but you know what I mean, right? Akkii bears the pain of the curse, if she didn't the others would have to, and it's killing her. And she's the last one who will ever bear the curse too, so if she dies, the curse completely breaks. The bindings break. Do you get what I mean? So that's why Kureno looks sad when Akito tells him about Jesus. lol))

"Oh..." Akito murmered. "So... when Kureno hears me talk about Jesus, he thinks of me..." It made sense. The curse, the bonds, were like her own cross, she'd be dying because of it. But no great kingdom for her to rule over with God awaited her. If the God that Devon believed in was the only true God at all, had she been forsaken by him? Had He abandoned her? If He had... at least she still had Devon. She smiled at Devon, as if the troubling thoughts were not running through her mind.

"Fine... but you'll be here when I wake up, right?" Akito asked, drifting off to sleep willingly, but she was still awake. She wouldn't fall asleep until he said yes.

Akito nodded and then fell asleep.
A few minutes later, the door opened. Kureno walked in. "Aah, I'm sorry. Hatori-san just told me to check on Akito for him, make sure she took the medicine, and went to sleep," He said quietly. He leaned on the wall because there was nowhere to sit. "I'm glad you're back. She looked so terrible before... looked so close to... well, you know... it scared me."
((Devon should like start questioning him about the whole kissing Akito thing. And you can make Devon a bit jealous. It would be fun... And he is a MAN after all... XD))

Kureno nodded. "Yes..." He bit his lip, trying to figure out how to explain why they kissed... "She wanted me to... and that's not me blaming anything on her," He promised. "But I'll do anything, to keep her from crying," He explained.

He also bit his lip.
He wished her was like that. Envy bubbled up inside of his cold-as-death body. "I see." He said. He wished her could of been there like Kureno was.
He stopped biting his lips. His perfect gold eyes flickered to the window, the clouds were light gray, it looked like it was going to snow.
"She talks alot about you." Devon said, leaning against the side of the bed to appear more human, it as a force of habbit.
His gaze gently rested on Akito as he spoke. When she was sleeping, she looked so peacful, like a curse didn't burn her from the inside out like an acid eating away at her soul and kindness.
He looked back at the red-headed Kureno, his gold eyes looked into the other's man, jealousy was still filling him up. He wondered if Akito every talked about him in such a loving nad caring way.
He ran his hand through his honey blonde hair again.

Kureno smiled... but looked a little... sad? "Really? Talks about me? She told me a lot about you. While you were gone and all. She said she missed you. A lot. She talked about how great you were. You know, I've never seen her so happy in my life. She's healing. Slowly. That crying girl... her tears are finally starting to slow," He sighed. "I want her to be even happier, and as long as you continue to stay with her, she'll continue to be happy. So happy that she may not need me anymore, she'll only need you," Kureno said. He still looked a bit sad. "She may actually be so happy, she lets go of the curse. Then she won't be dying anymore. Or hurting. Devon... if... if you're jealous, about her talking about me, kissing me... don't be. I think when she was kissing me... she was wishing it was you." He didn't look upset about this fact. He actually looked a bit happier.

Devon's pale lips turned into a smile.
"she'll always need you. Even if she lets go of the curse. She'll still need her faimly." He said. ''Akito is like that, she'll always need to be close to someone." He gazed back down at the sleeping Akito and smiled. He loved Akito so much, he didn't want to hurt her. But now he knew leaving hurt more then staying...
"Thankyou, Kureno." He bowed like he had thaught himself to.

Kureno smiled. "You're right. But I mean, she'll keep a looser hold, learn to trust others a bit. Trust that they won't leave her if she doesn't hold on as tight." His eyes were on Akito too.
((I thinking about having a curse break in this thread. ^^))

The faint smile on Kureno's face was gone as a shudder ran through Akito in her sleep, and she suddenly jolted upright, eyes wide, she gasped. "Tadao..." She murmered, tears rolling down her cheeks.
Kureno rushed to her side. "Akito... Did it break?"
Akito continued to cry. "Tadao... Yes... it broke."
