Akito crawled out of bed and got dressed, pulling on some plain black pants from the suitcase of clothes. She put a long-sleeved white shirt.
"I'm hungry," she mumbled.

Devon grimaced. "Mainly your arms and your waist..." He murmured, running a hand through his peroxide blonde hair.

Akito nodded. Good, nobody would see then. The pain was starting to come, but it would be easy to deal with. She smiled slightly. "Don't worry, Devon. It barely even hurts."

Akito sighed.
"Don't dwell on that too long. Bruises disappear. The curse does not." She left the bedroom, knowing he would follow. Alice was waiting in the main room of the hotel suite.
Alice watched Akito leave the room. There were some bruises the girl hadn't managed to hide, but that was alright, because nobody else would see. But really... Rhea hadn't been kidding!
"Weren't you eventually going to leave? You told us you'd just bring us here, stay for a while, and then join the rest of the Cullens at the Sohma beach house."
"Sooner or later, I'll leave. It's just so much fun!"
Alice had decided that she was going to try and convince Akito to tell her family that she was a girl. Besides, it was only a matter of time now, before people found out anyway.

Devon followed, dropping the subject for now. When he entered the room he said, "Akito said she's hungry. We should go down to the breakfast if we want to make it on time."

"Okay!" Alice said. She grabbed the room keys and tossed one to Akito.
"You may as well have your own. That way you don't have to yell at me every time you want to head back to the room." She headed out the door.
"Rhea went back to the hotel she's staying at. Want me to get her?"
"No," Akito replied heading out of the suite behind Alice. She headed past Alice, who had momentarily stopped, and walked over to the elevator without the other two. Then she looked back at Alice and Devon.
"Come on. I don't know the way to the breakfast. I'm just assuming we go down, then I don't know where to go."
Besides, even if she took the elevator alone and looked at the signs, she couldn't read english as well as she could speak it. And there was still a lot she couldn't say in english. ((Pretending that Akito's been speaking in Japanese this entire time. XD))

Devon nodded once and took her hand, leading her down the hall into the elevator. Once in, he hit the button and waited for the doors to slowly close, then go down to the first floor.

Alice, of course, followed to the elevator.
"Akito, do you like pancakes?" Alice asked.
"Pancakes?" Akito asked, the word foreign to her tongue. She'd never heard of pancakes before.
Sad, hm?
Alice blinked. "You don't know what they are?"
Akito shook her head. "No."
"Woooow, Akito." Alice laughed a little. "Personally, I can't remember what they taste like, but Bella likes them. Maybe they'll have strawberries there that you can put on the pancakes..."

"Well, I'm sure you haven't had them. They didn't exist two thousand years ago. But you know what they are." Alice sent Akito a teasing smile, causing Akito to glare.
Soon the elevator stopped, and Alice was leading the way to the breakfast area.
Akito saw a child accidentally spill some sort of drink all over their mother, and Akito expected the little girl to get smacked. The mother looked a little angry, but didn't do anything. Just smiled at her child, who was apologizing over and over again, and said that it was okay.
Akito watched the mother and daughter in slight shock. Nothing like her own mother... She sighed and looked away, envy in her eyes.

Devon smiled gently at Akito, as if to say, 'it's okay', and then led her to the section where people got their food.

Alice came with them, and put a pancake on a plate for Akito.
"That's a pancake?" Akito murmered, looking at it for a moment.
"There are toppings too! Look, strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, cherries. Whipped cream, and look, all sorts of syrups!"
"Nn, pick for me. I don't know," Akito said.
Alice grinned. "Okay! I'll make it the way Bella does." She spooned strawberries onto the pancake and made it look almost pretty, the way she decorated it. Then she poured corn syrup on it. Alice grabbed the whipped cream can and sprayed some on.
Akito just watched, and took her plate when Alice was done.
"Bella doesn't usually put whipped cream on hers, but I think you should try it."
Akito grabbed a fork, though she'd actually looked around for chop sticks for a few moments before Alice had discretely whispered in Akito's ear that they wouldn't have chop sticks. Alice then guided Akito to a table.
Akito sat down in a chair. She liked sitting at the Japanese-style tables better...
