"Yeah, I met him at school." She said.

((You know, I was thinking of her becoming a runaway a little sooner, before her mother died.))

((Yes, yes. I don't want to wait too long. xD You know what, Kira could be almost like the mother that Kyo and Yuki never had if they get to meet her... though that's Tohru's job for Yuki. LOL))

Hatori nodded. "Well... I'll be right back." Hatori said quietly. He was remembering that glass of water he needed to get her and and walked out the door.

He watched ihs back as he turned and walked into the next room. She had thought about sneaking out. But he would need to be out of his house for her to do that. So she waited.

[Akkii]

((It won't be very easy for Shade to sneak out once she realizes that it's not just his house. XD))

Hatori came back with a glass of water and set it on the table next to Shade's bed. Then he handed her an advil. "I suggest you take some painkiller." He said.

Shade nodded and did as she was instructed. She reach out with her scarred hand to pick up the water and the advil.

((i think Hatori would notice the scars now and know what they are from because it's realy really hard to get scars all in a line across your hand on anccident.))

Hatori noticed the scars straight away. They were all in a perfect line. Abuse. She has an abusive guardian. Was that why she'd jumped out in front of his car like that? Was she attempting to kill herself? Hatori said nothing about the scars, and was careful not to look at them any longer.

After Shade took the painkiller and drank her water he said,
"Well, you should get some sleep now. The painkiller should kick in soon." Hatori set a little remote control thing with one button on the bedside table. "Press this button if you need anything." He turned off her light before walking out and then closed the door a bit so light from the hall wouldn't be streaming in. There was enough light so that Shade could see though. Hatori went into his own room and began to read a large book.

Shade watched as he left. SHe was tired, so she calmed down and closed her eyes, though she was not sleeping. She listened for any movement.

FInally, though, she fell asleep.

Hatori fell asleep in a later hour. He'd gotten up to check on her once, but she was asleep. He finally went to sleep when he was sure she wouldn't press the button at all tonight. He was exhausted.

Her eyes flickered open. The sun was just begining to come up, she glanced aroun then got up as fast as her aching limbs would let her. She walked quickly and quietly out of his house.

Then she saw it wasn't only his house. She followed the halls and walked down stairs untill she finally found a back door tpo the huge place. She opened it, trying to not make any noise.

She shivered. Then relized in her hurry, she had forgotten her jacket. She didn't turn back to get it. She could buy a new one. She continued to wlak away from the house. hoping to never run into the doctor again.

He was so nice...she didn't want him to die.

((Aaw. Okay. Now make a thread where... maybe Shade tries running away from home so she's not hurting her mother anymore, and then she encounters a gang. I think I'd find it cool if it were Arisa's former gang, and she saw Ha'ri trying to save Shade and started helping. ^^))

Shade didn't come home. Shen went the opposite direction. She redid her hair, putting it up in a ponytail. A few strands that were too short fell to the sides of her tanned face. Her vemon colored eyes scanned the street.. It was starting to lighten up, she didn't want to be noticed so she moved to the alleys. Trying to stay out of sight. She saw a group of people. She turned arund, and started to walk away. But one called to her.

Shade stopped. She was now able to be seen from the street.
SHe turned around. Her liquid green eyes ignited into a fire.

[Akkii]

A couple of the people were holding iron pipes in their hands, another holding a bat. The others were not weaponless. They had their fists.

The one that called was the one with the bat. "Hey, come over here." She called, walking toward Shade, swinging the bat from side to side like a pendulum. She continued to advance closer to Shade when she wouldn't move.

The group of people was a gang. An all girl gang.

When Hatori had gotten up to check on Shade in the morning, he noticed she was gone. He got dressed and drank down a quick cup of coffee to wake him up a bit and then went outside and got in his car. He started looking for her...

Shade clenched her fists. She was also not weaponless. She dealt with some gangs before. And she had managed to get away in one peice. But those hadn't involved iron pipes and bats.
"Why should I? I know your gonna beat the living crap out of me." She said.

[Akkii]

"'Cause if you don't you're gonna have it even worse." The one with the bat, probably the leader, said, her eyes narrowed.

[Platinum]

She snorted. "Go ahead. My life couldn't much worse." Then she tought about it. Once somone thought they hit rock bottom and can't go down any futher...they found out there was always more down.

[Akkii]

The gang leader just rolled her eyes and swung the bat, hitting Shade's already cracked rib. And then the other two, the ones with the pipes attacked as well. The others started too.

Hatori drove onto that street. He'd had his doctoring kit with him. He dug around in it till he found a shot and filled it with a large enough dose of medicine to knock somebody out immediately. The gang didn't notice him as he got out of the car and shut the door quietly behind him. He had the medicine in his pocket so he could put more in the shot if needed.

He took a risk and shoved Shade out of the way. That surprised the gang for a moment and they stopped swinging around their weapons.

Hatori held the shot out. "Get any closer and I'll inject this in you. This is a large enough dose to kill anyone." He said menacingly.

"You're bluffing." The gang leader said.

"Try me." Hatori hissed, moving closer.

Arisa had been out for a walk, with Tohru and Hanajima.

"Oh my Go*..." Arisa said. "Guys, my old gang."

((Tohru should point out that she knows Ha'ri. Of course, none of them would recognize Shade.))

"There's Hatori-san!" Tohru said, starting to rush over, but stopped. She didn't want the gang to come after her. But she worried about Hatori. And who was black haired girl next to him? She was bleeding quiet a bit.

Shade clutched her rib. Blood flowed out of a the wound and formed a dark red circle on her shirt. Blood got on her hand as she despretly put pressure on it to stop the bleeding.

[Akkii]

"You guys stay here, I can take care of this." Arisa said. She rushed over.

"Hey, look. It's the good little girl!" The leader said, facing Arisa.

Hatori took this advatage to jab the shot into the leader's arm. Her legs wobbled a moment and she collapsed into a heap. She was fine, just knocked out.

Arisa took the leader's bat out of her limp hand. "Hana, make sure Tohru looks away for this!" She said quickly, then turned back to the gang. She hit one of the gang members in the head hard enough to knock her out.

Hatori looked over at Arisa. "Thank you." He said, just loud enough for her to hear.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're welcome." Arisa said quickly. She kicked one of the gang members in the gut.

Hatori carefully picked Shade up, again so as not to transform. "You'll be okay." He whispered to her.

She leaned her head into his warm chest, her eyes were still open, but she could tell she was trying to stay awake.

Blood also trickled from a wound on the side of her head. She didn't notice it, what she really cared about was her rib. She was in a state of shock at the moment and didn't notice the bleeding untill now, the shock was already starting to go away.
"Your shirt..." She said, looking at his shirt with her blood on it. She didn;t know it was her blood at the moment.
The she looked down at her hand on her ribs. She lifted it slightly and saw that her hand was covered in blood. She pressed it back down on her ribs and sucked in a painful breath as it stung.

"It's going to be okay." Hatori promised. "We're not that far from the Main House." He looked over his shoulder quickly. Arisa didn't have a scratch on her and there was only one member of the gang still standing, but she looked ready to retreat.

He opened the car door and set Shade in as carefully as possible. He got in the driver's seat and sped toward home.
