Tohru had been shopping at the mall with her friends, Saki and Arisa, earlier. When she'd mentioned she had to run some errands as well, they'd insisted on coming with her. But she'd managed to convince them to continue having fun at the mall, and then had gone on her way when they'd smiled, laughed and agreed. Now, she was at a grocery store, picking up things such as clothes for Ryuzaki--he was growing so quickly!--and food for dinner. She got a few leeks, but she also got salmon for Kyo. Even now that he wasn't cursed anymore, he still liked it. But he also liked things like steak. She was always reluctant to get that, though, because it made her think of Hatsuharu and the others who used to be, or even were currently cursed.
Distracted by her thoughts, the short brunette didn't notice that there was an older woman standing nearby, whom she collided directly into with her cart.
"Oh my goodness!" Tohru gasped. "I'm so sorry, ma'am!" She bowed quickly. "Ar-are you all right?!"

Aerith was looking at the produce section. She wanted to eat a salad today, but she just moved to Japan, so she needed to buy food, she normally had a garden, but her vegetables were just planted. She didn't see the younger girl or her cart. When the cart hit her, Aerith fell over. Everything in her basket fell out on the floor. "Ow, that hurt," Aerith said, surprised by the sudden event. "Yes, I'm fine. You just surprised me." She smiled and began to pick up her groceries.

The twenty-year-old got to the ground to help Aerith. It was a wonder that her short skirt didn't expose anything as she bent over, but it didn't. "I'm so, so sorry!" She gasped. She was mumbling it over and over. Her chocolate eyes were wide, almost as if in horror, and her face was flushed out of embarrassment. "I-I wasn't paying attention! Oh, I'm sorry!" She apologized AGAIN. She put the produce back in her basket.

Aerith smiled warmly, "it's all right." She grabbed the last piece of her groceries, and placed it back in her basket. She stood up, smiling. She didn't seem mad what so ever. "My name is Aerith." She introduced.

Tohru smiled a little, stumbling into a standing position rather clumsily. She blushed deeper, but now smiled widely. "I'm Tohru Honda!" She replied, bowing to the other woman. "It's so nice to meet you!" She looked around quietly for a moment, as if in thought. She could be a bit of an airhead sometimes. "Oh, ah, my friend Uo-chan used to work here," she said, referring to her friend Arisa. She smiled to herself. This was where Arisa had met Kureno-san! She recalled the story and giggled quietly to herself.

Tohru smiled brightly. "Ah, I don't have one right now. In high school, I worked part-time as a janitor at a building one of my friends' fathers owns. Right now I'm busy just doing stuff at home."
After all, she had to take care of Ryuzaki.

Aerith nodded, "that's good. I sell flowers and a florist. It's not much, but it pays the bills," she said.

Tohru smiled. "Kyo-kun runs a dojo, like his Shishou-san," she said almost proudly, smiling in that airheaded way. She surely seemed childish, not that she minded.

"One of your frineds own a dojo? Thats impressive." Aerith just met the Tohru, but she didn't expect her to have a friend who owned a dojo.

"Boyfriend," Tohru corrected, grinning. "He's very nice. He's funny too." Her cheeks were a little rosy at saying so, but it was true. "My friend Hana works for Kyo-kun's Shishou-san. Uo-chan's looking for work," she said. "Oh, and then my friend Akito runs her family." She smiled at Aerith. "And you said you're a florist? It sounds like a nice job. Working around flowers all the time must be really nice."

Aerith smiled," its nice. You are surrounded by flowers, so many colors, they smell wonder too."
((I know, just as they walk out of the store, someone runs up and steal Aerith's purse.))

"I can imagine," Tohru agreed, beginning to space out as she imagined it. "I'm working on a little flower garden, but it's hard when I'm busy," she said almost sheepishly.

Aerith smiled," don't worry, you'll get your garden growing." Aerith looked at the time, "Oh my, I have to get going. It is nice to meet you." Ahe went to pay for her groceries, and headed out the door. Just as she walked out, some thief ran up to her, pushed her down, and stole her purse. "Hey, stop, thief," Aerith yelled at the man.
((There's a surprise in store of the thief. X3 ))

Tohru had finished her shopping soon afterwards, but upon hearing Aerith, she almost abandoned her things. She rushedly payed the clerk, who looked almost as bewildered as Tohru did, and then ran out the doors.
"Ah! Oh! Er... Oh no!" Tohru gasped, looking at the theif's retreating back. She stood around like an idiot because she had no idea what to do. "Oh, Aerith-san..." she mumbled. She was standing next to the older woman now, still staring at the man with big eyes. She bent down and pulled Aerith up to her feet.

Aerith stood back up, with Tohru's help," thanks, but that man got away..."
The thief rounded the corner and in a alley. "Ok, lets see what she had..." He was just about to dump everything out, but someone put a hand on his shoulder. The person said, in a rough voice," excuse me, but that's not yours..."
There was a gun shot, and after that, the thief was soon thrown out of the alley, and to the other side of the street. Cars swerved, and a tall man, about 7 foot 5, came around the corner, and walked up to Aerith, he held up the bag, "is this your's ma'am?"
Aerith nodded. The man handed her back the bag, and he walked off.
((The thief got what he was coming to him. XDDD))

Tohru stared at the taller guy for big eyes for a moment. Her eyes held an innocence that was equal to a child's. When the man was gone, she looked to Aerith.
"There was a loud boom, then he came," she mumbled absently. She refused to assume the obvious, that the man had shot the thief.
And so she giggled, and said. "He arrived with a BOOM!" She threw her arms up, closing her eyes and laughing. Many would consider her childish, and even though this was so, she was also mature in ways.

Tohru almost winced. "O-oh..." She bit her lip slightly.
"He still came in with a boom, though," she added, trying to keep herself cheery. She smiled now.
