A blonde girl wearing tight jeans and a sky blue tank top, accompanied by a girl with braided black hair clad in all-black clothing approached the two.
"Yo, Tohru," the blonde said. They were standing behind Tohru, so the airheaded brunette hadn't realized they'd shown up till Arisa spoke. Tohru jumped and sbun around to face her friend.
"Ah! Uo-chan, Hana-chan!" She squealed. "I thought you were still shopping!" She said, nodding to the few bags the two were carrying.
"We got bored. It's not very fun without you, Tohru," Saki spoke in an almost delicate, yet low-toned monotone voice.
Tohru smiled at them widely. "You're both so kind!" Then she turned back to look at Aerith. "Oh! This is Aerith-san. I just met her. We've been talking!"
"What's her last name?" Saki, also known as Hana, asked out of curiosity.
Arisa looked interested too. They both looked at Aerith inquiringly.
((I forgot whether she told Tohru, so just have her tell them. You'll get why in a minute. XD))

Arisa frowned, as if in thought.
"Kyoko-san would call you..." she paused, still thinking. "...Gain-chan," she decided, smiling. "Kyoko-san would definitely call you Gain-chan!"
Tohru clapped her hand. "Yeah! Mom would call her that!" She agreed.
Sake nodded. "Yes..." she mumbled.
((Aerith can be confused and be like 'whaaaa?' or something, you know? Then they can explain. Just a suggestion.))

Arisa smiled. "Tohru's mom's dead. But see, when I met her mom, she gave me this insane nickname: Uo. My full name's Uotani. That's how she got it. Then Saki, her last name is Hanajima. So Tohru and I gave her the name Hana. And Tohru we just call Tohru because her last name's too short to make anything. So you would be Gain. Or Gain-chan, since Tohru likes to add that suffix," she explained, smiling.
Saki was smiling warmly as well.
Tohru didn't look upset at all at the mention of her mother. She was almost always cheery, and knew her mother was in a better place, anyway.

Aerith smiled. Only a week in Japan, and already she made three friends. "I like that, my new nickname." She giggled.

"This is an intersting addition to our little 'group'," Arisa said, smiling as she did the air quotes. "Saki and me, we were considered 'bad' kids. I was in a gang. And Saki, here, is a 'wave'. It's kinda hard to explain it."
"And our Aa-chan used to have many problems..." Saki said fondly.
"Tohru here saved all of us." Arisa patted the short girl's head.
Tohru blushed. "Oh! N-no I didn't! It was all you... and you were never bad..." she said quietly. She recalled when she'd dropped her books and people hadn't even helped her, walking all over them in Middle School. Arisa had yelled at them while Tohru gathered her things. Then they'd talked, and Arisa hadn't liked Tohru at first, especially when she found that THIS was the daughter of the legendary 'Red Butterfly,' Kyoko. The former suicide-gang leader had been her idol when she was younger.
