((Before Akito left.))
Shigure was walking with Crystal in the gardens of the Main House. They'd brought the kids, who were currently running around doing God knows what. He didn't have the usual hop in his step. Akito's disappearance had indeed affected him. He'd talked about the girl more to his wife... more than he already did, anyway. He was starting to wonder if he was becoming like some sort of obsessive older brother figure. That thought surprised him, and he wasn't sure if he liked it. He wrapped an arm around Crystal's shoulder, keeping her close. Despite Akito leaving, he was still very cheerful. That could be a mask though. You never know.
"Ahh, when we were kids, Akito and I played out here a lot," he told her. He actually picked Crystal up and carried her as he walked, giving her a silly grin. "So would Haa-san and Aya and Kureno. She'd climb a tree and Kureno would be so nervous that she'd fall." He couldn't help smirking at the memory of Kureno nearly having a breakdown, getting so terrified the little goddess would fall and hurt herself. "Birds are so skittish." He pecked her on the forehead.
((We'll have some fun silly stuff before Ren comes and ruins everying.))

Crystal grinned when Shigure picked her up. She snuggled against him and looked around.
"Sounds like fun." She told him honestly. "This place looks like it be the most fun place in the world to play in as a kid." She said.

"It was pretty cool," Shigure said. "The one thing that sucked was that Ren kept Akito in most of the time. Akito's life was controlled fully by her mother when she was little. We had to literally kidnap her." He smiled. "There were times when we got yelled at, then Ren would blame Akito for the whole thing." He even shuddered a bit as he said this. Apparently it was pretty bad. He shook his head. "Of course, when Akito got a little older, she became more rebellious. Now that was fun." He grinned widely and tightened his grip on Crystal. "Imagine how much fun you and I would have had together, if you lived here when you were a kid."

((This thread is reminding me about Crystal's childhood. XD It's a bit twisted. Maybe Shigure and Crystal could talk some about it.. XD))
Crystal grinned. "I would have loved to live here as a kid, but La Push was fun too." Crystal said. "My oldest brother taught me cliff diving." She grinned. "I want to show you that sometime." She said to him.

"Right, you told us about that once, didn't you? And Kyo got freaked out," Shigure said, chuckling.
"You know... I tell you about me being a kid all the time. What was your childhood like?" He asked curiously.

Crystal laughed at the first part, but then sobered down as Shigure asked her about her her childhood.
"My parents were nice and all, like normal parents and my brothers were of course annoying. I guess I had an average childhood." Crystal said with a shrug but her voice was stiff, like she wasn't telling it all.
"I hate my uncle." She said, her voice now dropping into colder tones. "We had to go and visit him every year for a whole month in the summer. Those were the worst times of my life." She said.

Shigure tilted his head a little, the cheerful mask falling away. Now there was curiosity, and even a little concern.
Maybe himself wasn't the only thing he cared about. "Tell me more," he urged.

"He was controling and cruel to me, but I never told anyone and my brothers were never around when he did it. And... at night he would come up to my room..." Crystal didn't finish, she looked down from Shigure.
"He would touch me." She said meeklky. "And when I was a child I wouldn't understand. He said cruel things." She mumbled. "I started cutting myself while at his house. One night he said that I was worthless after he molested me so I went to the bathroom with a nail and carved 'WORTHLESS' into my back. The scars asr still there but you can't really tell anymore." She mumbled. "But the sickest part was that he would take pictures and videos of him touching me." Crystal spat out. "Maybe that's why I'm afriad of doctors. He was a doctor..."

Shigure couldn't hide the anger that came on his face. Though, it looked like a very scary calm, while his eyes froze over.
"Terrible," he mumbled. He stayed quiet for a while, then looked into his eyes. Some of the cold anger was still there, but it was melting away by a warmth as his eyes went from cool gray to chocolate brown. "You aren't worthless. We both know that much. It's horrid, what he did to you. He should really meet Ren." The last sentence was bitter. He couldn't believe he'd gone so low as to sleep with the woman at one point... well, actually, he could believe that. He wasn't all that great, he had to admit. But he still found that the only really worthless people were the ones like Ren and Crystal's uncle. Along with several of the zodiac parents.

Crystal cracked a small grin.
"I know that now. And I'm far away from him." She said, she snuggled into Shigure again.
"Plus I have you so everything's good. I try to forget about the past, there's nothing you can really do to change it..."

Shigure grinned. "It's always good to leave things in the past. Sometimes it's fun to bring things back, but not this type of stuff."

Crystal nodded once. "I finally stood up to him one day though. It was the same day that I joined the pack." She grinned back on the memory. Her first change had been painfull. She had been riding a Quarter Horse at the time then fell off, startling the animal then she got mauled by it. Then she shifted and killed it.

A black haired woman approached them.
"Oh, hello, love," she said.
Shigure arched an eyebrow and smirked, eyes turning cold again. "Hello, Ren-san," he said.

"... Hi?" She offered. The woman had just pranced up and ignored Crystal... it made her slightly irritated.

Shigure set Crystal back on her feet, put wrapped one of his long arms firmly around her waist, then proceeded to pull her slightly in front of him and have both arms wrapped around her, setting his chin atop her head.
"So, is this the tramp you married?" Ren asked in a smooth voice.
Shigure gave her a cold smile. "I'd appreciate it if you were kinder to my wife, Ren-san," he said, totally calm.
"Oh, but don't I have a right to be angry? I was your lover before this woman, was I not?"

Crystal seemed unphased by the insult.
"Just because you had sex once or twice doesn't make you lovers." Crystal grinned coldly at Ren.
"Now, what you want?" Crystal asked. She had allowed herself to slip back into her think, slightly husky Native American accent just to be annoying.

Ren rolled her eyes. "Who says it was only once or twice?"
"I do, Ren-san. It was only once."
"You're still my love," the woman said, narrowing her algae-green eyes.
"I never loved you," Shigure said. His voice wasn't exactly cruel, but a strange, detached, cold gentleness. Like snow.
"Hmph," Ren said, as if she decided that didn't matter. "Still, even Akito would have been a better choice than her," she said, looking the girl up and down. "At least that idiotic child has proper speech."

Crystal grinned devilishly at Ren.
"Is that all that you can come up with, Kadidu? I've been told worse." Crystal smirked, calling the woman a 'dog' in her language.

"Kadidu?" Ren questioned. "What on earth is that supposed to mean?" She could hardly think of it as an insult. It sounded like some made up gibberish, to her.
Shigure smirked. However little he knew of Crystal's language, he knew what that meant.
"It means dog, Ren-san. Though I can hardly think of it as an insult, I do suppose many women would be upset if they were called a dog," he commented lightly

"Hm, I don't think that was as close to what I was trying to get, but I don't think that their's a word in my language that means 'b*tch'." Crystal said with a slight smirk.
