Mary was sitting in the gardens, at a place that was mostly sand. There were little hills made by some of the other Sohma children. She had her knees up to her chest, with one arm wrapped around them. With the other hand, she was drawing little circles in the sand. She was bored, she had nobody to play with... nobody to keep her mind off of her mother. Where had she gone? Why had she left her and Devon and everyone else? Akito still loved Devon, right? She sniffed a bit, feeling the tears come. She blinked her eyes, holding them back, and stood up suddenly. Fun. She needed to have some fun. She ran to the nearest, small-sized tree and climbed up, then went from the branches of that tree, to a taller one, and went on like that very carefully. She looked down at the ground. Ooh, a person! She looked familiar too. One of Mom's friends? She climbed down the huge tree she was currently in, sliding down the trunk. She got little tears in her t-shirt and denim shorts, but still made it down without a scratch on her skin that was almost as hard as a vampire's.
"Hi!" She called, ignoring her former misery, forcing it out of her features. For a three-year-old, she was fairly mature, like Renesmee.
((Ehhh, I tried. xD))

Adalina looked up as she was greeted by the girl. She had been watching the ground walking slowly. It looked like a deliberate action that had some meaning. In truth, it wasn't. She was just as bored as the girl that called to her.
"Hello." Hey, her eyes looked like Akito's before she was a vampire. This girl must be Akito's child. The walker scented vampire on the child, oddly strong for a child. Probably a half vampire. No, a half vampire. No probably. Of course, she had heard about Akito being gone and before then her being pregnant and such. But Adalina hadn't really seen her friend much in the last three years. That was mostly because Xavier had convinced her to go to school. Which she had managed to scrape by in.
Now. What was this girls name? Cary, Marney... Mary! That was it. "Mary, right?" She said tilting her head slightly looking at the little girl.

"Yup! Umm... wha's your name?" Mary asked, tilting her head to the side in a way that could only be described as adorable. She shook her head, shaking out her blonde hair. Her bangs fell in her eyes, and she squeezed them shut tight as she shook her head /again/. Finally she got frustrated and just shoved the bangs out of here face.

Adalina smirked as the girl got aggravated with her hair. "I'm Adalina." She said. For a moment she vaguely wondered if the girl could scent the walker. Though a lot of the times it was hard for anyone to spot a walker unless the walker shifts in front of them. "So what are you up to?" She asked.
((Oh yeah. Whole thing without looking at the keyboard. XDDD Though it's not that big...))

((I never look at the keyboard. xD))
Mary thought the lady smelled funny, but didn't ask about it. Not like she knew what coyote smelled like, anyway.
"Nice to meet you! I was just playing... it's really boring with nobody to play with, though. I wish I could talk to Mommy," she said, twirling a strand around her tiny index finger.

"Heh... Yeah..." Adalina said trailing off. She found it odd that she was actually able to uphold a conversation with a three year old. Maybe it was just because she had a childish mind. Was she childish? Or could it just be her over-hyper coyote? Either way she kept looking at Mary as she spoke.
"None of your cousins around?" She asked. Well, she did know that the Sohma family had a lot more kids around now. Since she could smell them when she walked around.

"Nope," Mary whined. Of course, she'd only checked with a few people. Akatsuki and Chiasa. Both of which were busy doing something... or taking a nap. She wondered where her dad was right now.
Her expression suddenly brightened, as if she'd had an idea. "Ah! You're Mommy's friend, right? You know where she is, don't you? Maybe you could make her come back!" She said.
The girl could dream, couldn't she?

"Ah, sorry. No. I don't know." Adalina said sighing and glancing off to the side. She thought for a moment the looked back at Mary. "You want to go for a walk with me?" She asked, attempting to get the girls mind off the bad things.

Mary smiled, though she looked a little disappointede now. "Sure," she said, quieter now. She wrung her hands and yawned a bit. She hadn't been getting much sleep because of nightmares. She even had little shadows under her eyes.

Adalina didn't like disappointing the girl. But she couldn't help it if she didn't know where Akito was. Or even how to find her. Considering the new vampire was probably in another country; considering she thought that another person, preternatural creature, was involved. "I'm sorry." She said glancing down. Then she looked back at Mary. The little girl seemed tired. "Tired?" She stated, half questioned; tilting her head slightly.

Mary nodded and rubbed at her eyes. "I dun get to sleep much. I have lots of nightmares," she said. "They're really scary. And it's things that happened or are gonna happen. It's really, really scary. I don't like it."

Adalina was sympathetic. She frowned slightly and watched the girl for a moment. After thinking for a moment she finally came to a conclusion. "You saw Akito be changed into a vampire?" She asked looking at the girl then down at the ground. The walker crouched down, not necessarily to be at Mary's level, just to look down at the ground. There were a few black ants walking along. "Yeah, I know what it's like to not be able to sleep." The teen added softly.

"Yeah. Daddy bit her," Mary said. She shuddered. "It was scary. There was blood everywhere. All over her. And it was coming out her mouth, too. And... I started having dreams where this guy pushed her out the window, and then she fell. I saw what happened to Mommy. I think he might have taken her or somethin'..."

Adalina looked back up at the girl. She had seen wolves kill. Must have been somewhat similar, seeing someone, not to mention your mother, pushed out of a window. Though wolves ripped and tore. Which included guts and gore. "That cannot be pleasant... So you see the past and future at times?" She asked.

Mary shrugged. "I guess," she said. She sat down and hugged her knees to her chest, like Akito did sometimes. "Do you miss Mommy?" She asked.

Adalina examined the girl for a moment. She was a lot like Akito. Even her positions were like Akito's. So she smiled slightly. "I'm sure she'll come back. Even if someone or something is keeping her." Akito had, had one of the bad mothers and Adalina did not think she would want to be like that. So the woman was bound to come back.

Mary nodded. "Okay. Daddy thinks she doesn't love him anymore," she said. She wondered whether or not she should mention that one dream she had was of that guy--Kaiser?--kissing her mother. That was scary in it's own way. Her dad was the only one who ever kissed her. Except for maybe Shigure and Kureno, sometimes Hatori. But that was different. They never did that on the lips. It was the forehead or something.

"Mm, that's understandable. But I don't think it's true." Adalina replied shrugging slightly. She was looking down now. Then she glanced back up at Mary. She had a vague thought wondering if Mary's power could help with the situation. Then she simply dusted it off. The girl may be more mature then a normal three year old but she was still three. It would probably take a little while before she could actually control her power.

"Me either. Daddy doesn't believe me though. He's spending time with this lady that looks a little like Mommy. She's nice. I think they're only friends, though..." Mary sounded relieved by this. She didn't want her father to be with anybody else. She started to draw little circles around the ants on the ground as they walked. She liked how the ants started going crazy and scattering when that happened. She giggled.

"Mm, sounds like he may have given up." Adalina murmured to herself. She watched as the girl drew circles around the ants. Setting a finger down she let one of the ants crawl up on her finger. As long as it didn't bite her she was fine with it. The little insect crawled around to the palm of her hand. "At least she's nice. My mother hung out with a lot of bad people." She said thoughtfully.
