Mrs Patrun had Razi's cell phone. She scrolled down contacts, her fingers trebling. She found the one she needed. "Come on Kenny. Pick up, pick up." she prayed. She held her daughters phone to her ear.

Kenny answered. His cell had caller ID. "Hey Raz!" He said cheerily into his phone.

"Kenny? This is Mrs. Patrun. The hospital called. Something went wrong with Razi's surgery. Can you meet us at the hosital?" she said.

"Yeah, I'll be right there!" Kenny said. He shut his cell phone without saying good bye, told his parents he was leaving and then rode his bike to the hospital as fast as he could go.

In a small hospital room, Razi was lying on a bed, her face pale, and dozens of machines hooked up to her. Something was dripping medicine into her, one was giving her oxygen, one kept track of her heartbeat, and there were others. Razi took in a shaky breath, wincing as she did. Her stomach was killing her, literally. There was a giant scar right down the middle.
Mrs. Patrun burst in, crying. Livvy was on her hip, and she started to cry too.

Kenny came in a few minutes later, holding in tears.
"Raz!" His voice was weak and shook as he rushed to the side of the bed, careful of the many machines.

Razi's eyes scanned them. Her brain took a minute to remember them. "Hi." she said weakly. A nurse swooped by. "Don't talk." Razi made a face at her.

"I don't need to." Razi replied hoarsly. "Raz! Raz!" Livvy cried. Razi reached out and took the toddler from her mother. She put her sister next to her, and put her arm around her.

Razi, with difficulty, sat up. She looked at Kenny and forced a smile, though her eyes showed the searing pain and fear.

Kenny shoved the coming fear out of his eyes. "Lay back down." He said. He pushed down on her shoulder, very gently so it wouldn't hurt her. He just gave a tiny push that would emphasize what he said a bit.

Razi leaned back. "You worry too much." she croaked. She looked over to to her mother. "Where's Rei? I want to...apologize." she said. Mrs. Patrun looked up. "I left him a message telling him to come." she said. Razi nodded.

Razi smiled. "Rei?" she croaked. A nurse popped in. "Only three visito-" she cut off, seeing Razi, who looked up weakly. "Er...never mind." she said, and quickly left. "She feels sorry for me." Razi said. "That'd be a first."

Rei walked over, looking a little awkward. He stood behind Kenny. Kenny moved out of the way so Rei could get closer to Razi.
"Raz, are you okay? Wait... what kind of question is that? Of course you're not okay. But you'll be okay. I'm sure..." Rei looked a little nervous and then rubbed Razi's arm gently. Sort of in the kind, fatherly way.

Razi smiled. "I'm sorry for judging you Rei." she said weakly. "Its just...my past experiance with anyone bigger than me hasn't been good." she explained. She grinned when she remembered meeting Sam, Jacob, Quil, Embry, and Seth. They'd all been so big. She'd been terrified of them for three months.

Rei smiled a bit. "Yeah... but I promise you, I would never do anything to hurt you, your mother, your sister... or Kenny." He chuckled slightly.
She'll make it through this. She HAS to make it through this.

Razi smiled. "That's all I needed to hear, I think." she said, leaning back a bit. Four nursers, and doctor, and two surgoens burst in. "We've got to take her to operating." one said, plucking Livvy off the bed and shoving her into Mrs. Patruns hands. "You can go to the waiting room. Or home. This could be a while. we'll have Dr. Montgomery keep you updated." he said. Razi frowned, but didn't protest. They started wheeling her out, the nursers pushing the mahines behind her.

Rei watched. He took Mrs. Patrun's (what's her first name again? xP) hand.
Kenny blushed, feeling as if he were intruding.
"Do you want to wait in the waiting room or head home?" Rei asked her.
