"She would never do something like that on purpose. I heard that a long time ago she did that, but she's gotten it under control by now, and the kid didn't even die," Yuki said in Saki's defence. She was strange, but not bad. "The worst she does is read people's waves."

Yuki stiffened. "Well, Hanajima-san just has a power, and she used it when she got angry, that one time, when she was a little kid. After she met Honda-san, her power got under control," he said a bit nervously, trying to defend Saki. "She's also a good person who would never do that to somebody on purpose."
Shigure watched. He was unsure about whether he was really worried about Yuki or not.

"That's completely different. They have thirst. And Ember just had a very difficult past. Hanajima-san rarely ever resorts to even using her power, as far as sending out poisonous denpa goes," Yuki suggested. Though, he figured he may as well be trying to reason with Shigure or Ayame. They were just as impossible as this person.

"Yes, yes. But she is different," Yuki replied, exasperated. "Not once has she killed anyone. She hasn't used that power to harm someone since..." He tried to remember what he'd been told. "...since the sixth grade. And that had been giving somebody a headache. Honda-san explained that very soon after that, she could keep herself from reading minds, just block all the voices out, and she could get mad and not hurt anybody."
