Hatori nodded. He knew he had feelings for her. That was obvious now... but how would he tell her? But... wouldn't it be better if he didn't? What if she didn't return those feelings?

"Falling in love... with me? I... I thought I was the only one thinking I was in love... oh my-- Kira..." Hatori was sort of stammering. Obviously surprised, but happy. Very happy. Happier than he'd been in a long time. "I-I'm pretty sure I'm in love with you, Kira," He was blushing a bit. This was different, from being in love with Kana. But... he still liked it.

"I...I thought that it was just me." She said to him. She was smiling. She was very happy, she hadn't felt this happy since her husband and sons had died. During that long span of time, she had felt more alone then ever, but now that she had met Hatori...

Kira and Hatori's faces were just inches away from each other.
She really didn't know what she was thinking. She placed one hand on the side of Hatori's face and kissed him.

Shade had walked all the way from the shelter, she was very excited to see Hatori and a Tadao. She was shivering with excitment. And the cold.
She walked quietly through the house, not wanting to wake anyone that might be sleeping. Like Akito...
When she made it to Hatori's door, she stopped and took in a few excited breaths. Now she was trying to gather her wits. Would Hatori be mad at her...?

Hatori had been leaning in when Kira was. He smiled behind her lips for a moment, and then started kissing her. But wasn't this a little too early? Wasn't it a little too early for this? Oh well, it wouldn't last too long, and he'd make sure to take it just a little slower after this.

Shade opened the door and walked in.
"Hi Hator-" She stopped short and her eyes grew wide.
Kira instantly pulled away from the kiss. She felt stupid for kissing him like that, it was much too early...right? She looked up at Shade. Kira was so surprised.
"...Mom?" Shade's voice cracked.
Well duh, it's my mom...but why the he** is she kissing Hatori?!? Shade thought.
"Shade!" Kira jumped jump from where she had been sitting on the couch and rushed over to her daught. For a spilt second, she forgot Hatori.
"What were you thinking?" asked Shade. She was confused, and now a bit angry.
"Shade...let me explain-" Kira began.
"I don't want to hear it." Shade said, throwing death glares at the two adults. "You two looked awfully busy." She said, she couldn't believe what her mother had done! She would regret saying those things, but right now she was upset. She comes to say hi to Hatori, and she finds her mother kissing him!
She's forgotten them She's forgotten Dad...and Haru....and Danny. Now she's going to forget me. Shade thought, she left in a hurry. She shut to door silently, not wanting to make a scene.
Kira grabbed her coat and put it on, she rushed towards the door, intending to followed after her daughter. Then, something told her not to go...she needed to cool off...
"I'm sorry." She told Hatori. She looked awfully sad.

Once outside, angry tears began to flow. Shade quickly dialed Kyo's number and began to walk to his house.
"C'mon...pick up already!" She muttered into the phone.

"I don't know. I think it's best if we let her cool off." Kira said, she still looked sad, like she had destroyed her daughter's trust. Which she had. And Kira didn't know how long it would take untill she could gain it back again. She might not even get that trust back. It took sixteen years from Shade to be that close to Kira. And Kira had destroyed it with a kiss.

Shade had been screaming at Kyo through her phone before he had picked it up.
"D*****! KYO! PICK UP YOUR PHONE! WHY THE H*** DID YOU BUY ONE IF YOUR-oh, you did. Sorry." Shade said, her voice cracked again because she had been crying, then screaming, now she was crying again.
"Can I come to your place? Like...right now? And maybe spend the night?" She asked softly.

"Woah! I don't mind. You can stay the night in Tohru's room if it's okay with her..." There was a pause, then Kyo spoke again, "Yeah, you can stay the night. She doesn't mind. You okay, Shade?" Kyo asked, surprised by Shade's outburst. Woo, temper... He'd never seen her temper before.

"I'll tell you when I get there." She said, her voice all soft again. She let out a small sigh, probably heard by Kyo, then she hung up.
A few minutes later, she arrived at Kyo's house. She was tired from walking, so got on a bus, which is why she had gotten there so fast. She had almost started crying on the bus again.
All that went through her head was She's forgotten me...she's forgotten me...
She walked inside, feeling warm air on her face was nice.
She hopped no one heard her outburst while on the phone with Kyo. How her luck was going today, everyone in the room with Kyo at the time she called most likely heard.
