Akito was covering where she'd been bitten by Devon with her hand, she could tell there was some blood coming out of it now, and she didn't want him to get tempted again. She hoped he wasn't breathing, so he couldn't smell. She was still holding in that scream. Were vampire bites supposed to be this painful? Her eyes were watering as she half sat, half laid in the car. She was sort of laying down because of the fact her knees were clutched to her chest with her free hand and she was leaning against the window.

Devon glanced over at her constently as he talked urgently to Carlisle.
They soon got to the large white house of the Cullens. She picked her up and ran into the house.
Carlisle began to work on Akito. Doing everything to get the venom out.

As soon as they had gotten to the house Akito hadn't been able to hold the shriek in and let it out, but it was short enough and even though she was still in terrible pain she managed not to scream again. She breathed hard, her eyes wide with fright as Carlisle worked on her, sometimes sucking at the bite, wondering what was going on. The pain was slowly ebbing away though, and soon the venom was gone.

Carlisle hooked her up to a heart monitor, making sure that he hadn't missed any venom.

Alice walked in and saw Akito.
"Is everything going to be okay, Carlisle?" She asked. Akito looked really shaken.
((Do you think that Alice and Carlisle sort of know Aki's a girl or something?))

Akito sat up, not sure what to say. Just looked around. That was scary. That pain, the burning. Why did it /feel/ like that?
"Are you supposed to feel like you're on fire...?" She asked quietly, for once not snapping at anyone to get away from her.
((Alice would prolly have a hunch. XD. Edward, too.))

"Devon... will you take me back to the Main House? I'm okay now... I think," Akito looked over at Carlisle to make sure that she was right, she was okay now and could go home.

Carlisle had a dissaproving look on his god-like face, but aggreed to letting Akito go back to her home.
"Yeah, c'mon." Devon said, taking Akito back out to the car.

Akito stepped out. She hadn't noticed it before but the snow had started melting. No doubt there was some ice on the streets. "Devon, are you able to drive fast even on icy roads?" She asked, half because she was curious, but also half because she wanted to get rid of the awkwardness, sadness, and some other emotion that was in the air... maybe regret?
((After he answers her question let's skip to the next day where he leaves her. lol Are you going to make him lie, like Edward did in New Moon and say that he doesn't want Akito anymore, or are you going to have him tell the truth? XD I don't know why, but I'm amused right now.))

~Next Day~
Akito sat in the living room, waiting for Devon eagerly. There was no snow today. It was even oddly warm, compared to how the weather usually was. And she was feeling well. But even though it was a great day, subconsciously she was aware something was going to go wrong today.

There was a note slid underneath the door. Devon waited outside the door, her had just put it there. His eyes stung and felt dry.

Akito noticed the note, but opened the door first. She smiled when she saw Devon, but the smile disappeared when she noticed there was something off about his face. He looked upset. There was something seriously wrong.
"Devon?" She asked, worried.

"I thought that you'd rea that first." He said. "Oh well, I'll just tell you what it says."
"I can't be around you any more. I'm too dangerous. I've told you time and time again and yesterday just proves my point." He paused.
"I'm gong to Rome, I'll be gone for a while. I can't be around you. Goodbye, Akito." He said, the turned around.

Akito desperately held onto Devon's wrist, but not very tightly. She suddenly felt a bit ill suddenly. Weak.
"Please... Devon, you can't do this to me..."

Akito stared at the place where Devon had been. He was leaving her. The person she loved the very most just walked out of her life. Possibly forever. It felt as if her heart shattered. This was more painful than when Shigure had left her. It was more painful than a curse breaking. He**, it was more painful than being bit by a vampire. She shut the door that had led to the living room as tears started to flow freely from her eyes. She looked at the note. It said exactly what he'd said. She ripped it in half. Then again. Then again, and again and again, until little bits of the paper were all over the floor. She was sobbing now. Devon was gone. She wiped here tears away, trying to pull herself together. It was hard, when it felt like you yourself had falling apart into hundruds of thousands of pieces...
