Akito put the equipment on, looking just slightly nervous. The rock wall looked real, and it went really high...

Akito nodded nervously as she got her harness attached to the rope. She looked for a good place to hold onto on the wall.

Devon did the same. He found a good place and began to climb upwards.

Akito climbed up a little bit, then looked for another good place to hold on, and then continued climbing. She was about a quarter of the way up when she looked down. The guy who was holding the end of one of the ropes gave her a thumbs up, signaling she'd be okay. She continued to climb, still looking a little scared. She looked to Devon and that made her feel calmer.

Devon looked over at Akito and smiled. He continued to climb.

Akito went on climbing. When she was closer to the top she lost her footing and slipped off the wall. she clung to the rope, terrified as she saw how far she was from the ground.

Devon stood from where he was on the rock wall. He couldn't reach her.

Akito was glad that there was someone on the ground holding her rope, so at least she wouldn't fall. She carefully moved one hand from the rope and struggled to grab the wall, but each time it seemed the wall was just out of her reach. Finally she got hold of the wall. She was shaking and breathing hard. She calmed herself down and continued to climb.

"Yes. I just got scared." Akito said. She was at the top now, and very thankful that Devon was keeping her mind off of what had just happened.

Akito pulled herself onto the very top and sat next to Devon. "Now we have to climb back down, don't we...? I have to admit it was exciting though."

Devon climbed to the bottom, once there he took off his gear and waited for Akito, she was only a few feet above him.

Akito climbed down the rest of the way and started taking off her harness.
