((Random Title...))
Flashes.
Gun fire.
In her sleep, she winced away from the sound. It was that dream again.
She went to shoot again, but her .99 locked up on her. She cursed loudly and dropped it, hiding behind the counter. She was without a weapon now, she was surely going to die.
Kira turned over in her sleep, small beads of cold sweat appearing on her forehead as the memory played through her dreams. She turned over again, this time more violently.
She held the gun to eye level, aiming at the two men in front of her, beating her friend to death with the handle of their own guns. The revolver had just been lying their… she needed to save her.
She fired.
The bullet twirled out of the short barrel, spinning through the air. A small stream of smoke exited the barrel almost lazily after the bullet then disappeared into the thick, humid air.
Kira continued to toss and turn, her body now drenched in cold sweat. Her muscles were tense, her fists balled up even in her sleep and a pained... or even angry expression on her unconscience face. She had shot the man. In the middle of the back. Blood sprayed out of the wound and his arms flailed and his legs gave out from underneath him. She winced when blood splattered back at her. The warm liquid pelting her body and face. She felt as if she might puke, but she didn’t.
Instincts took over. The other man turned to face her. She lifted up the gun, a fearless look on her battered, bruised, and now blood covered face as she pulled the trigger.
That time, she hit him in the forehead.
He collapsed instantly. She shakily stood up, her foot hitting the brass shell casings that had been discarded on the floor after she had shot. “Oh G*d…” She said out loud.
Her brow was furrowed together, her body still tensed as she turned yet again. It was a surprise she hadn't fallen off the couch yet. She shuddered in her sleep, chills running down her spin and goosebumps appearing on her arms.
She was in an old shack, out in the middle of nowhere. Surrounded by the woods.
And it was filled with dead bodies.
She walked a few steps in the wooden shack. The man that she had shot first, was struggling to sit up. She had missed his heart, but pieced his left lung. He was now choking in his own blood.
She pointed the gun at him, and he starred wide-eyed. “Please… have mercy… Little Dragon…” He managed to sputter out.
And she pulled the trigger.

((Just remembered, Ha'ri doesn't sleep. xD Crap, still shouldn't be at the house, either. We could change it to they are alone at the house, and he's just watching her sleep on the couch, and it's around mid-day. Mind if you modify it? I could if you want. Not much to change, anyways. XD))

Hatori watched her, worried.
"Kira?" He asked, though he didn't really want to wake her up. She needed rest. But it wasn't good that she was tossing and turning like this. Forgetting about how cold his skin must feel to her, he reached out to steady his wife, making sure she wouldn't fall off.

Kira woke up with a start, her eyes flying open and let out a soft scream, cluthing at the couch. She was now sitting strait up, starring strait ahead, breathing heavily, looking frightened half to death.
A few seconds later, and her body relaxed, and she placed her head in her hands, taking in a few death breaths to steady herself. Another shiver ran through her, and it wasn't from Hatori's hand.

Hatori let go of her, thinking that he'd caused her to shiver.
"What's wrong?" He whispered to her soothingly.

"Just... just a nightmare." Kira murmured to Hatori. There were things Kira never told Hatori... they were starting to bother her... he needed to know these things. It was taken her a while just to tell Hatori that Shade wasn't even Lee's daughter. But that wasn't the darkest part of her past. Once again, Hatori should know these things. "There's something that I really need to tell you, Hatori." Kira said, looking down and away. She was monster. A horrid, terrible monster.

"Go ahead," Hatori murmered, taking her hand gently. "Tell me everything. It'll be alright."

Kira held onto Hatori's hand and squeezed her eyes shut. "It was May sixth... nineteen ninety-nine..." She said, her voice hardly above a whisper. She was too ashamed to look him in the eyes. She her other hand, she gently traced a bullet wound on her left shoulder, not even knowing that she was touching it. "I killed them." Was all that she managed to whispser out, still not looking at Hatori. A single tear trailed down her cheeks.

"What happened?" Hatori pressed, then amended it. "Only tell me if you want to. I'm sure it's a painful memory. I'm not mad at you, though. I promise."

KIra finally looked up at Hatori, but instantly looked away. "I was around fifteen... my friend and I were in a shack out in the middle of the woods, waiting for another gang to arrive... once they were there, hI killed the first one as he walked through the door. But then my nine milimeter locked up. Te had began to beat my friend... I got angry... found another gun... then..." She trailed off, she was sure Hatori knew what came next. "I was such a monster..." She murmured.

"No, you're not. I understand," Hatori whispered, staring intensely into her eyes, hoping the red wouldn't bother her.

"How could you understand?" Kira asked, another tear falling from her green eyes. "How could you? I killed them Hatori, I'm a murderer." She said to him, her voice cracking from trying to keep from crying.

"I guess I don't understand, not like that anyway. But I know I would do that to protect my friends," Hatori whispered. "Don't blame yourself. Please, don't."

"It is my fault..." Kira murmured, her face suddenly growing blank, trying to surpress to feelings, like she did when she was younger. Hatori was really the only person she opened up to, she let only him see what she was really feeling. But she didn't want to feel this, sos he held back all emotion. "She died."

Hatori looked sad. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "That wasn't your fault, though," he added, quietly.

"It was, Hatori. I didn't have to go. I didn't have to be there. I had a choice. I could have chosen not to. Nobody forced me into killing those men." Kira told him, everyone and a while, her voice slipping form the blank mask that she hid behind to protect herself. If anybody else were to find out about what she did that night, they would surely reopen the case and put the young woman in jail for the rest of her life. Or worse- the death sentence. But maybe Kira might consider that better. She wouldn't have to live with the fact that she killed three people, three grown men that she didn't even know, but before that, she had allowed them to beat her freind half to death, and then Kira left her there to die. That's how Kira saw it. Ever since then, she had been wondering about those men. Did they have families? Wifes? Children? What if those children were living without a father now, because of her? She forced those thoughts to stop coming, but they kept bouncing around inside her head, like hornets. Stinging her every time on hit. She wished that they were more likes bees. Bees die after they sting. These keep coming baack, over and over again. "Their deaths are my fault, Hatori." She told her husband.

Hatori didn't know how to reassure her. He didn't know what to say. He held one of her hands in his, and gave it a slight squeeze. He hoped it was a little reassuring. He gave her a peck on the lips. "I'm sure you must feel guilty. I would, too. I don't have any idea what I could do, to make you feel better, I'm sorry."

Kira pulled away from Hatori. She shouldn't taint him with her filth. "There is nothing you can do, Hatori." She said, looking away from him because his face melted away all of her defenses. "I've killed three people, and I can't live with that." She said to Hatori, then paused. She had been thinking about turning herself in, after the children were born, not being able to live with that soul wrenching guilt anymore. It was hard enough to look at Shade with out feeling guilty. Shade didn't know about what her own mother had done. She wouldn't be able to even touch her children with Hatori. But if she left, they would be without a mother, and she couildn't do that to Hatori. The internal conflick was messing with her mind, she shel ooked down and away once again and squeezed her eyes shut, trying to get rid of all thought. She didn't know how Hatori would react if she told him that she wanted to turn herself in, she was sure that he would protest, though.

"I have a question for you, okay Kira? Would you mind telling me why you shot them, so I know what was going on?" Hatori asked. He wasn't sure if this information would help or not, but maybe if she let it all out.... told him everything...
