There was a soft ring. Kira's cell phone. She pulled it out of her pocket. She looked at the caller ID
"It's Shade. Shouldn't she be at Kyo's by now..?" She said, mainly to herself. "Sorry, Hatori. but I have a feeling that I should take this call." She told him.
"Shade?" Asked Kira. You couldn't even hear the voice on the other end. Kira's eyes got wide though.
"Oh my G*d... Shade? Are you alright? Shade! Talk to me!" Kira's voice became frantic.

Kira shut the phone. Tears stung in her eyes. She shoved it in her pocket and quickly got up.
"Something bad happened to Shade, Hatori. Something really bad." She said, trying to keep her trembling voice under control. "I-I have to go now... You're assisstance m-might be needed." She managed to studder out, grabbing her jacket.

Kira turned to face Hatori. She was really trying to keep from crying.
"The same thing... it just happened to her... those sick ba****** raped my daughter." She said through gritted teeth. Usually, Kira wasn't one to cuss, but she was just about to snap in half from the news she had jsut received.

Hatori gawked for a split second. "Disgusting," he muttered under his breath. "Come on," he said, taking her very gently by the wrist and leading her outside quickly. He got into his car and waited for Kira to get in. He looked very serious. He had his bag in the car, if needed.

Kira followed Hatori to the car. She got in, trying to remain under control of her body. Obvious worry for her daughter was clear, she kept her eyes focused ahead.
