It's rare to see Jamie away from the ranch, but his dad was giving him a day off, therefore giving him nothing to do. So he was just sitting on a bench, fairly bored. He'd brought the homework he'd been given to do over summer vacation to the park. Really, it was a killer. The boy slammed his book shut in frustration, dropping it onto the ground. He was much more at peace when taking care of the animals. Maybe he should have brought his dog with him... oh well. He glanced over at his blue pick-up truck, considering leaving, but then decided that he didn't want to. It was kind of nice out. There was a breeze, and the clouds partly covered the sun. He leaned back, finally feeling a little more relaxed. He put his arms behind his head, hat falling forward slightly in the process. Jamie didn't bother to fix it, he felt he may as well fall asleep, and the hat kept enough sun out of his eyes to do just that. He closed his lids over his ice-blue eyes, feeling suddenly rather mellow. If anybody disturbed him, they'd regret it.

A barking dog with it's collar and leash on. Unfortunately, there was no one holding the leash. So the dog proceeded forward and lept up onto Jamie barking and then licking the boys face. Well he wasn't a dangerous dog, no doubt about that. Although he was a medium sized dog; with brown fur and pale blue eyes but that's not the point at all.
"Crap, come here." Naomi said as she ran up to the bench breathing a little heavily from running. She took the dogs collar and pulled him down; she was frowning. Dogs were normally easy to take care of. But this one had gotten away three times this week. She was just glad she wasn't walking more dogs. She looked up as though she had just realized Jamie was there. Wrapping the dogs leash firmly around her hand she stood up. Well, she was going to have to apologize once more for the dog that wasn't even hers. Dog-walking can be harder then it looks.
"Sorry. He's not quite trained to be on the leash." She said with an awkward smile.

Jamie had been trying to shove the large dog off of him to no avail. He glared at her, wiping dog drool off his face while wearing a beyond disgusted expression. "Then train him better!" He snapped. "Really, my dog is way better than this. It's pretty sad that you don't know how to train your own dog. And if it's not yours, then the owner is pretty bad."
Well, he didn't know it wasn't her dog, but at least he'd added that last part.

Naomi shrugged.
"I'm just walking the dog. He's a little over exuberant." She replied not really paying attention to his tone. Her tone was normal. The dog gave a bark and pulled on the leash and she started over with him when he just stopped and stopped and sniffed at the bench and walked back around.

"Just... try and control him better," Jamie muttered, wiping a little dirt off himself. He really didn't mind it too much, but he liked to look fairly presentable around others... though, many may find him oddly dressed anyway, since he wore a poncho and a straw hat.

Naomi nodded slightly. She then did a slight bow and decided to introduce herself. "I'm Naomi, by the way." She said simply. Hm... To her, this person was kind of cute. Although that was both a random and odd thought.
