The doctor seemed startled, he had seen that fight, but that was common.
"Strangling?" He asked.
"Haru saved me, there's nothing to worry about now." Shade said, pulling off her breathing mask to inform them that. She let it go back on.

"Yeah, duh," Hatsuharu said in an almost rude voice to the doctor. Honestly. "Obviously, she was strangled. There are bruises forming on her neck already." Then he turned to Shade. "Shade, it doesn't hurt too badly, does it?" His tone was polite, kind. Concerned.

The doctor just ignored the rude Haru.
Shade pulled off her mask again. "I'm fine, thanks, Haru." She said to him.

Hatsuharu nodded. "Good. Guess.... I should leave, huh?" He said. Then he looked over at the doctor. "Ah, sorry for being so rude to you, just now. I'm just pretty d**n irritated at what just happened."

The doctor sighed. "It's fine, I understand why you would be upset. You can stay, if you want." He said to Haru.

"Thanks, doc," Hatsuharu said. He continued to lean against the wall, then looked over at Kira. "Hey, since she's woken up, should I call Hatori and Tadao?" He offered, back to his usual monotone.

"Okay. Ya got a cell phone?" Hatsuharu asked.
He had one, but a) it was out of minutes, b) it needed to be charged, and c) he didn't have it with him.

Kira pulled out her simple, silver cell phone and handed it to Haru.

Haru took the phone and dialed.
"Hallo!"
"Momiji, what're you doing answering Hatori's phone? I need to talk to him."
"Oh! Okay!"
A pause.
"Hello?" Came Hatori's weary voice.
"Hey, Hatori. Just wanted to let you know that Shade's awake. Tell Tadao too, okay?"
"All right. Thank you, Hatsuharu," Hatori replied, sounding just a little less tired at the news.
Haru gave Kira her cell phone. And then a few minutes later Hatori and Tadao were in the room.
Tadao's eyes lit up. He was so glad to see Shade awake. He rushed to her bedside, and knelt down next to her, taking her hand.

Shade smiled widely at Tadao. The doctors had switched to the nasal breather, so she could talk now. "Tadao..." She said softly.
Kira took the cellphone and put the phone back in her pocket.

Hatori carefully put his arm around his wife's shoulder. "I'm so glad she's getting better," he murmered to Kira.
"Shade," Tadao murmered back to Shade. "I love you, Shade..."

"So Shade, do you know what's been going on the past four days?" Tadao asked, wondering if Shade knew she'd been in a coma.

"I managed to catch that I was in a coma. But four days, wow." She said to Tadao. "I could hear nurse and other people come in. Sometimes you." She said.

Tadao smiled. "Yeah. I came in now and then. I'm glad Haru was here," he said, sending Haru a smile.
Haru nodded back.

Tadao just then noticed her neck.
"Shade, what the he** happened?" He asked, worried. The only reason he hadn't noticed earlier was because he'd been looking at her beautiful green eyes.

"My uncle decided to visit me." She grimaced, then rubbed her neck gently.

"And I'm guessing Haru basically saved you," Tadao murmered, trailing his thumb along Shade's neck, looking at the bruises with a worried expression.
"Yeah, I did. And I know you're about to thank me, so, you're welcome. Now you don't have to say it," Haru said, smirking slightly at the end.
