Near shrugged. "I suppose that I should do so." He said looking at the broccoli before going back into the kitchen and getting some paper towels. Then he proceeded to pick up the broccoli and hold it at arm length as he took it to the trash. There was the sound of the sink running before he came back out.
Lawliet was eating a candy bar now, having finished his cake. "I suggest not eating from that table." He said to Near before eating a strawberry off the top of his cake.
Gaku had seated himself at the table and was going on about some experiment on robots. Near became interested and walked over to sit by him.
((Abbi's turn then Near shall try and answer and Mello will reply with funny LoLness. XDDD))

Night had followed in and sat down next to Gaku, sitting quitely. He just simply watched all the people.
Poor kid. Being around the Sato's had probably seriously messed up his mind and disturbed him.

Abbi crawled around under the long table until she found Lawliet's legs. Then she climbed up and sat in his lap. "Hello!" She said to him, stealing a part of his candy bar.
Hatori just took a seat. The food all smelled unappetizing to him now. He wanted to stay outside. But he just held his breath, hoping he wouldn't have to talk much.

Lawliet looked at his candy bar that was now pretty much gone. Eat the last bit he then glanced around and took a chip from the bowl off of the table and ate it.
"... Chips are for homicidal maniacs." He said staring at the bowl. "I have met many of them that enjoy this treat. I would much rather have chocolate." Lawliet commented still staring at the chips.
Near who had been only half listening to Gaku leaned over and handed Lawliet yet another candy bar. "I agree with you to the fullest extent." He said taking another bite of another piece of cake.
Gaku kept talking not really paying attention to anyone.

"Where'd you get that from?" She asked. Was she a homicidal manaic...?

Abbi laughed and clapped her hands. "You're funny, L!" She said. She pulled the candy bar out of her hands. "MIIIINE!"
Tadao stared at Lawliet. Was there something wrong with his head?
"No, Kira, I'll be fine," Hatori said, giving her a small smile, thankful that she was so kind. But he got the feeling Kira would be happier with him in the room with the others.

"It's classified." Lawliet replied very flat and serious. He looked at his once again empty hands then at Abbi. He broke a piece of the candy bar off and ate it. "It was mine." He claimed in hi monotone voice.
Near went on eating his cake still partially listening to Gaku.
"Hey, Kira! Are you pregnant again?" Gaku suddenly asked.

"Mine now!" Abbi said, taking a large bite of the candy bar. "None for you!"
"Your uncle really is strange," Tadao murmered to Shade. "Really, how would he get along with Ayame...?" It was a retorical question.
Hatori smiled a bit at the question Kira was asked and took her hand under the table, hoping she didn't mind the cold.

Gaku threw his hands up slightly. "Congratulations." He said grinning.
Near glanced at Kira but didn't say anything. Lawliet just sat there.
((Now Abbi can ask how babies are made. *laughs hysterically* Don't worry I'll keep it PG. XDD I'm not that bad... ~.o))

"Well first there is some sort of attraction between the male and female specimen. Except-" He started but Lawliet glanced up and looked around Gaku to look at Near.
"For now the stork brought the babies and they were made at the factory." He said flatly.

"Oh my G*d, it's Yuki and Kyo," Tadao said, and nearly started laughing.
Hatori chuckled quietly.
"Babies are made at a factory? So I was made at a factory?" Abbi asked. "How do the parents get the babies? Do they order them, then the stork brings 'em? Or does the stork just bring the babies to the parents? Why does there have to be a mom and a dad?" She'd never seen a pregnant woman before. She didn't notice the small bump jutting between Kira's hips. It was too small for her to really see.

Shade herself now felt akward.
"Yeah... the parents order them... and uh... you have to have two parents otherwise you can't get a baby." Shade said, ackwardly trying to explain to Abbi.
Mello starred at Abbi for a moment. "Does it matter? Just don't get pregnant and you won't have to deal with it." He told her.

"I am not a moron. I was only explaining it the correct way. I do not lie compared to the way you do frequently." Near said calmly to Mello. He then took another bite of his dwindling cake. "Then again, if you did not lie you would not have made it through high school." He added still monotone.
Lawliet was pretty much ignoring everyone now.
Gaku was just throwing random things in that held no meaning every once in a while.

Mello fumed.
"I wasn't lying! You don't explain that kind of stuff to a little kid! You wait untill they are older! And I do not lie, you punk!" He yelled, grabbing the front of Near's pajama shirt and pulling him up out of his chair.
The soon-to-be-fight now held Night's attention.
