"He can kill you, Akito, and would kill you if given the chance. He's a ruthless ba****d, Akito. He doesn't care about anyoone but himself." Devon said gently. It vaguely reminded him of a certain dog, but he didn't hate Shigure as much as he hated Kaiser. But that's not saying Devon would cry at Shigure's funeral.

"With him human, he wouldn't be able to hurt me very badly," Akito almost snapped back. She knew he wasn't insulting her, but she couldn't help feeling as if he were saying she were weak.

"Okay, he can hurt me. I don't care, so long as I can hurt him," Akito replied, voice a little cold. She just wanted to hurt Kaiser. Maybe kill him. So long as she could hear him cry out in pain, because of her hands, she'd be happy. Maybe she'd strangle him.
"Ren hurts me, but that's never stopped me."

"Ren is another woman. Kaiser is a man and is stronger, don't you udnerstand that I don't want you hurt?" Devon asked, starting to get irritated at her. "Sure, you could hurt him a bit, right before he beats you to death." He said to her bluntly, taking her by the shoulders now.

Akito sort of tried to pull away. Half of her expected him to shake her, like Kaiser did, which was the reason she didn't want him holding her shoulders. He sounded irritated. What if he got mad? Yes, of course she was still affected by the beating. You couldn't blame her. Her eyes were widened, but only a little. Part of her wanted to say 'please don't hurt me,' though she already knew that he didn't want to hurt her. He'd just said he didn't want her hurt.

Devon let go quickly, noticing that she didn't like him touching her shoulders. He dropped his hands and looked down at water.
"Sorry." He mumbled.

Akito sighed. "It's all right. I was... I was just a little frightened. It's... not your fault..." she mumbled, glaring downward as Kaiser again came to mind.

Devon gently touched the side of her face, before pulling the smaller girl into a hug.
"Can we stop talking about him for now?" He asked, sounding almost like a boy asking for something.

Akito nodded into his chest. "Yes." She felt comforted in his embrace, however cold it was. She was still soaked, not that she cared.
The baby made a little movement in the womb.

"I'm not sure if I'll like the movements as it gets bigger," she mumbled. "Seeing as it'll be born in its... ah... monster form."

"I love you. I'm glad you brought me here," Akito mumbled, giving him a little smile. A way of apologizing for snapping at him in the argument they'd been having. She kissed him then, first a peck. Then another kiss. This time it was rougher, more forceful, as it usually was.

Devon smirked at her again, but pulled away even though he didn't want to. He didn't want to lose control out here, that would be bad.

Akito smirked at him.
"No," she replied, putting her face so close that their noses were almost touching. She kissed him again.
He was one man she didn't have to take orders from. At least, not these kinds of orders.
