"Let her go, Victoria." Edward hissed.
Hera smirked. "How far are you willing to go to save her, Devon?" She asked. She didn't give him a chance to ansewer. "You try to take her, I will kill everyone here." She said, suddenly breaking away from the 'group'.
Devon blinked, unsure of what to do.

Bella bit her lip.
Akito's eyes widened. Surely Devon would choose her. Right? He loved her. Didn't he?

Azriel was glad Jackelyn had let go and slightly surprised when Jade flung her arms around him. He looked at Jade which was a slight angle down; he wasn't much taller then her. But when he looked up to look at Jackelyn she had gone. No where. Now it was time to see if he could help the others.
"Hey! Your out numbered. Two to three. Not great odds." Azriel said glowering at the remaining female vampires. He put one arm partially around Jade as though to just make sure she was there.

Azriel glanced warily at her. There were two X Voltorri members here and they were in Volterra. Not a good mix. He thought for a moment. He was wondering what the plan was. How would they get the other two away from the other vampires that wanted to kill the other girls? "Idon't think you should go to far." He said not bothering to keep his voice quiet. Wouldn't matter with the vampires.

Jade nodded. "I'll just stand back here, a few feet away or so so I don't get in the way of any fighting..." she said. "Azriel, be careful," she added.

Hera hissed. "Edward is inexperienced." She said.
Edward and Hera glaed at each other, reading each other's minds, basically trying to plan without the other one knowing.
Devon took this chance. He darted in, snatching Akito away and startling Hera. She snarled loudly, in anger.

"Don't worry." Azriel replied with a glance at Jade. Now for Bella. How to go about this was another thing. "Now what?" He asked raising an eyebrow and glaring at Vitoria. Distract and grab? Like Devon just did? That should work.

Akito, after Devon'd saved her, clung to him, tears streaming down her face. Obviously, she was terribly glad that Devon had come for her. But also equally upset because of all the time they were apart. She buried her face in his shirt. The pain she was feeling
"Edward!" Bella called to him, as Victoria tightened her grip again.

Edward snarled. "I swear, I will kill you this time, Victoria." He threatened, walking closer to her.
Devon held Akito closer, and rubbed her back. "Sshh, Ssh, It's fine..."

"I thought you'd never trust me again..." Akito whimpered, her tears slowing, glad that Devon was there comforting her.
"So you say," Victoria said with a smirk. "One step closer, I may just snap her neck."

"Of course I would," Akito replied. "But... you didn't seem to believe me, when I told you what Hera had been planning to do..." Tears began rolling down her cheeks again.
"Mm-hmmm, and why should I do that, Edward?" She smirked. "I have no reason to let go of her." She ran her fingers along Bella's neck. Bella shivered. She looked rather... mortified. What if Victoria did kill her? Well, at least Edward would be able to get out of it safely.

Devon brushed the tears away. "I'm sorry." He murmured.
Edward bit his lip. "Because if you kill her, all of the Cullens with then kill you. Don't you know any better, Victoria? We would seek revenge." He said.

"Mm-hm, is that so? What if I have vampires to back me up?" Victoria challenged, her fingers still trailing along Bella's neck, getting closer to wrapping around.
The girl smelled sooo good...
Akito laid her head against Devon's chest. Her shoulders were shuddering violently, though she was holding her tears in.
"Just... never leave me again. Never. Please. Don't." She wrapped her arms around him, and they slowly moved up to his head, where her fingers went through his hair. She tried to make herself stand taller, and kissed him, hoping he wouldn't have to push her away soon to control himself.

Azriel slipped over undetected as he tried to get on a good side to attack Victoria. Help Edward out. At least if he could do this then the Cullen's could trust him better. Hopefully. Slowly dropping into a crouch still soundless still trying to find the right spot. Oh, but how to do it without hurting Bella? Or at least without cutting her or killing her. At least that much had to be avoided.

A thought occured to Akito. She couldn't believe she was doing this, but she pulled away, gently, from Devon. "M... Maybe you should... help them out," she said, sounding reluctant.
"Surprise the woman from behind. She might let go of the girl, then..." she murmered.
Luckily, for Akito anyway, Victoria was paying more attention to Edward and Victoria and hadn't heard Akito speaking.
