Alice sat at the computer in her room, typing quickly. Hopefully Devon would check his e-mail.

Devon, I really hope you get this. It's important. I'll just get right to the point. Akito's really bad off without you around. She's hurting bad. She came to me, Devon! She practically just burst in through the doors of the house. Yes, I'm saying SHE. I can tell, the way she was hoping you were here, I can tell she loved you. She actually cried in front of me. She's not the kind to do that right?

And... well... I had a vision of her dead. And I know for a fact it's because you left. Unless you want her to die soon, I suggest you come back and see her.

Devon, how had been sittined in a little cafe in Italy, trying to blend in heard a computer beep and say 'You've got mail'

His name flashed across the screen. He was intrigriged and leaned over to look at it.

It was from Alice.

He quickly got on the computer and typed in a response.

Alice got the reply quickly and replied to it... rather irritated.

That's when only when the future changes, Devon! And either way, she's really hurting because of you! You may think that leaving her helped, but it's apparently killing her. When she had you around would she cry in front of people she hardly knew? Hmmm?

Unless you think I'm lying to you about the vision just to have you come back, I'm not. Anyway, stay away if you really want to, but just know that Akito's really hurting. Something tells me that she's hurting worse than she was when she had the venom in her system.

Devon tapped the keys nervously.

She cried to you, and told you about her gender? I didn't think leaving would hurt her that badly. I thought it would help. I thought she'd forget me and move on.

Yes she did cry to me. No, she didn't tell me exactly. I can definitely tell though. She was careless enough to be a bit too open. I guessed easily. And apparently you were wrong. You of all people should know what she's most afraid of. People leaving her is obviously it. And considering you're the thing she loves the most, you basically shattered her heart and destroyed her world. I don't think it's possible for her to forget and move on. Hey, would you just forget about it, move on, if Akito left you? Probably not, right? You'd want to kill yourself or something. Haven't we told you how Bella was when all of us left because Edward thought we were a danger to Bella? She was terrible. Then Edward thought she'd died and went off and nearly had himself killed by the Volturi. Hmmm... How do you think Akito's fairing right now? Most likely she wishes she were dead. You're lucky she hasn't decided to just go off and kill herself. Devon, you have to come back.

Alice clicked send. It was so sad. Seeing Akito's lifeless body in that vision. It had sent shivers through her spine. Somehow, though hardly knowing the girl, Alice felt fond of her. Akito was able to deal with vampire venom better than Bella. She was strong, yet weak at the same time. Only God knew what else she's been through. And Devon was unknowingly tearing the girl apart. Destroying her world and her heart. She wondered what Akito was clinging to now in order to give her a reason to live. Wasn't she like the head of the Sohmas or something?

I don't understand, why can't Akito just let go of me?

It doesn't matter, I'm coming back, for her. And for myself. It's killing me, too.

He typed that up quickly and hit send.

Alice sighed, relief flowing through her.

She didn't hit send yet. She had a vision while holding down the . button. She backspaced most of the .'s, leaving three there.

Had a vision. She's going to think she's seeing things when she sees you. But you'll convince her somehow and she'll be delighted to see you. Don't be surprised if you see more than happiness in her eyes though. ;-)

She hit the send button. In the vision Akito had shook her head, thought she was seeing things. And when she was convinced it was Devon, you could tell she wasn't sure how to feel. Mad? Upset? Happy? Of course, she would choose happiness, unless she made a last minute decision when Devon showed up. Alice would just have to keep watch...

Devon smiled, and he was about to reply.

After sending that, Devon logged off and went to go order tickets.
